We recently convened a group of innovators, investors, and knowledge experts in the climate space to initiate sustainable ideas and innovative solutions to address the climatic challenges facing Mexico's blue economy. After 48 hours of intense work, we developed 6 innovative business ideas, each designed to tackle challenges related to the blue economy, such as coral conservation, responsible water use and reuse, and sargassum reduction. Out of these innovative solutions, three winners emerged: ✅ Coral Wall - an innovative solution to reduce the impact of waves on coastal infrastructures by 60%. ✅ Loop the Water - a water reuse system designed for drought-vulnerable coastal areas. ✅ Sarkixtia - an innovative use of sargassum as a packaging material. What does 'happiness programme' mean? Actually it is three discussions on how can we make our world a place where living is prosperous for everyone. Green technologies are important but not sufficient for solving the climate crisis. So there arises the question of how can we sustain our planet Earth? We must make a decision on how we should solve the great problems we are facing today. We are living in an enormously important era because on this decision a lot of fates are depending right now! I will be discussing these issues along with Dr. Dittrich Ernő, Dr. Bükki Tamás Aila and Zalatnai Brigitta. We will talk about the role of happiness in the state of our only planet Earth and also the things we can do for a better future - and present. DREAM_PACE challenge at the Technische Universität Berlin and BGI - Sustainable Ventures winter school held in #Aveiro (Portugal)!   Together with BGI - Sustainable Ventures from Lisbon and the Universidade de Aveiro, Technische Universität Berlin invited 35 students across Europe for the #Innov4Mobility winter school on latest trends in urban mobility and research.   “How to reconnect Europe’s rural regions” was the DREAM_PACE challenge set by TU Berlin. 6 students discussed mobility services nowadays and worked on a business idea on #DRT (Demand Responsive Transport) in rural regions. The aim was to develop a social-technological solution to provide villages of the Hinterland with mobility provision.   As a result, the group developed - in February 2024 - their DRT-platform CommuniRide in line the principles of blue zones (where people live especially long and healthy) and the integration of local business. #CominiRide does not only aim to guarantee mobility services but also envisions DRT as a collective space of social interaction.
