Did you know that more than 95% of international data is transmitted by submarine communications cables at the bottom of the ocean, instead of through space? These essential cables are hundreds of thousands of miles long and can lie nearly five miles below the surface. Communication cables are installed by special boats called cable-layers. These vessels slowly and painstakingly place cables across flat surfaces of the ocean floor, making sure to avoid precious ecosystems including coral reefs and fish beds, plus sunken ships, rocks, and other obstructions. The diameter of a shallow water cable is often the same as a soda can (but can also be as thin as a magic marker), which makes a cable-layer's job even trickier. At Horizon, telecommunications is only one of the many industries we proudly serve. We go the very last mile to ensure these fleets receive the parts and supplies they require to keep us all connected — safely, smartly, and on time. Husband Dave Walsh reports on what a Kamala presidency looks like for your economic life based on her energy policy history in the Senate and as VP! Kamala supports legislation which will crash the economy and lower living standards. Remember she was the DECIDING tie breaker vote for the IRA to usher in all your economic misery! For example, the Green New Deal, has aimed at reducing reliance on fossil fuels and drastically cutting carbon emissions which is false as more renewables require MORE fossil fuels, this is leads to destructive outcomes, including the potential elimination of private property rights in favor of communal ownership, severe restrictions on personal movement, and government-imposed limits on energy consumption in homes, such as controlling heating, cooling, and water usage, which could drastically reduce individual freedoms and lower living standards. The goal of carbon neutrality by 2030 is nearly impossible. Currently, about 60% of our electricity comes from burning fossil fuels and 20% from nuclear power!!! To even attempt this goal, they would have to shut down the economy!
