Can't wait for this year's symposium with City of Hope! My workshop description: Connections in Deathcare As “carers” (professional, volunteer, or family), we have the opportunity to identify and reinforce connections within and around those we support, thus easing potential loneliness and isolation during the final phase of life. Together we will explore the importance of connection—transient and lasting—focusing on the invaluable attachments to one's sense of self, strength, source (internal nourishment), story (life narrative), and support (beneficial resources). Discovering and bolstering these linkages can facilitate meaningful conversations and healing while helping to re-humanize the dying journey. This workshop will incorporate educational content, introspective writing, interactive practice sessions, and group discussion. See you in May! Registration: https://lnkd.in/egYpncpf
