HAPPY CHILDREN, HAPPY TEACHER One of my friends was relating how he would travel 90 minutes to school and pay $27 a day in tolls to get to school. He spent the whole trip excited about the new school and thinking about what he would do with the students. He told me about his enthusiasm for his new class and how much he loved his job. WHAT IF you could retain that enthusiasm and excitement of your 1st year as a teacher in your 20th or 30th or 40th year of teaching? HERE’S HOW! The BIG SECRET is to transition into a guide on the side, nurturing children’s innate ability to direct their own lives, known as an Internal Locus of Control. When children are empowered to make their own choices, your role evolves from a policeman to a collaborator, allowing you to enjoy the learning journey alongside them. HAPPY CHILDREN, HAPPY TEACHER Locus of Control Explanation and quick quiz to determine Your Own Locus of Control https://lnkd.in/gRjTf2aW #JoyfulLearning #EducatorEnthusiasm #TeachingJourney #EmpoweredStudents #GuideNotGuardian #PassionateTeaching #LifelongEducator #InspiringTeaching #EducationalJoy #TeacherMotivation #StudentAgency #PositiveEducation #IntrinsicMotivation #TeachingPassion #HappyTeacherChallenge #EducationInnovation #TeachingInspiration #LocusOfControlInClass #CareerLongPassion #EducatorEmpowerment #HappyLearners #TeacherLife #EnthusiasticTeaching #SustainableTeaching #TeacherWellbeing #InnovativeTeachingMethods #teachersoflinkedin

Qualified educator who taught in a variety of settings, ready to distinguish and uphold the particular necessities of learners .A young teacher hoping to expand her perspectives in the education and psychology field.
Just a friendly reminder to educators: Recognising a variety of variations within the classroom is the foundation of teaching for diversity. Embracing diversity is an indication of inclusive education. In order to manage all experiences and ways of being fairly and justly, teaching for equity permits differences to change the way we think, teach, learn, and act🌻.

Is interested to see how some parents are already pivoting their tutoring focus to grammar school entrance. We are seeing an uptick in demand for London grammar school. What's the problem? Well, depending on your persuasion, the lack of grammar schools in London! There are around 160 such schools in the UK and these are in high demand already. We have one such grammar school where around 10% get in. The long-term direction of the selective state schools will be interesting to watch - since we may see a hollowing out of the middle, with ultra high net worth (UHNW) families stumping up higher and higher private school fees, while your bank manager and GP's daughter gets priced out. Why should people who aren't in this sector care? Well, depending on who you believe, the changes may lead to increased state school class sizes. However, they may also lead to parity between spending per pupil in the state and independent sectors (something we haven't seen since 2010, IIRC). As ever, tutors and their agencies will face increased challenges from such policies, in addition to technology pressures separating the wheat from the chaff in the sector. We can expect to see a continued demand for services like Atom Learning, as parents look to cut costs in tutoring for school entrance, along with CGP and other quality provenders of resources. I am interested to hear from tutors with the following school entrance knowhow: The Henrietta Barnett School, Latymer Upper School, Queen Elizabeth's School, Barnet, St. Michaels Catholic Grammar School, and more. #tutor #tutors #tutoring #schoolentrance #tuition #school #schools #schoolentrance #elevenplus #grammarschools #schoolentry #education #ukeducation #selectiveeducation #privateschools #politics

Schools need educators who believe in every child's potential. The more believers there are, the easier it is to normalise and embed the desired teaching practices. We need to praise and support these committed educators. We need tribes of believers.

What Is Adult Education? Adult education offers a lifeline to adults who need to build essential skills to succeed in life and work. It’s more than just going back to school—it’s about opening doors for people who may not have had access to these opportunities before. Imagine trying to find a job without strong reading or math skills or navigating life in a country where you don’t speak the language. For millions of adults, these are everyday challenges. In Louisiana, nearly 1 million adults struggle with literacy or math skills. Adult education helps them overcome these barriers, whether by improving basic skills, earning a high school diploma, or developing the career-ready skills needed for a good-paying job. WorkReady U is Louisiana's comprehensive adult education network, helping adults across the state gain the skills they need to succeed. Through programs supported by the Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA), adults can improve their reading, writing, and math skills, learn English, or earn a high school equivalency diploma. WorkReady U also helps parents gain the skills to support their children’s education and offers programs for incarcerated individuals to prepare them for life after prison. Adult education isn’t just about individual growth—it strengthens entire communities by helping more people join the workforce, support their families, and participate in civic life. Watch this space in the next few weeks for the launch of the Autumn term teacher trials, with a focus on literacy for KS2 and KS3. We will be offering teachers and schools the opportunity to work with us to find out what works in the context of their school. The trials are free and require minimal teacher time to set up and implement in your school. If improving literacy is a key priority for your school, we definitely recommend taking a look at the EEF guidance reports for both primary and secondary schools. https://lnkd.in/dafk-qqX #education #literacy #schools #teachers #schoolleaders
