Which strategy is riskier? Entering with your current portfolio into a new market then innovate to make your products relevant? Or Innovating first to enter a new market and increase your chance of success? 🤔 For us the answer is clear - You invest upfront, go to a new market with your best shot! This strategy is way less riskier in the long run. Just because the product is a winner in your market does not automatically guarantee success in a new market. Consumers are different, their needs and preferences are different, their taste profiles are different. As an example, last week at Gulfood - The World’s Largest, Most Trusted F&B Sourcing Event, met a brand with a high protein milk product, flavors chocolate, vanilla, strawberry trying to enter Middle East markets. Product very similar to what we have here, not sweet enough, and no differentiation. They are looking for distribution only, fine and dandy so there will be high cost involved just to find out this a doom case for sure. Without adapting your current portfolio to new market conditions, you are playing with fire which will give you an inaccurate sense of success or failure. Innovation is a MUST and it is your best tool to increase win rate 🚀 What's your view on this? Let us know in the comments below👇 #innovation #fmcg #gotomarketstrategy #foodandbeverage #geoexpansion

Helping your brand dominate the world of Shopper Marketing, PR & Influencer Marketing, Creative Design, Point of Sale | Senior Account Manager @ Lion Creative
In 2022 we paired with the Cereal Partners Worldwide (Nestlé & General Mills) team to help develop some concepts for a new brand of cereal. Little did we know at the time that it would be for the launch of #KitKat Cereal in the UK. Throughout 2022 and some of 2023, we helped the #innovation team create conceptual work on the lead up to the packaging that you see today in #retailers. In Nestlé's 2023 reports, it was great to see that they had strong, double-digit growth of their #confectionary range, mainly being fueled by the launch of KitKat as a group collective. It's almost coming to a year's milestone mark since KitKat launched in UK retailers... my question is "Have you had your break yet?" #conceptdesign #conceptualdesign #fmcg #fmcgmarketing #concepts #shoppermarketing #branddesign #creativedesign #creativejourney

There has been lots of hype in the past week around two delicious brands coming together 🤤 Biscoff owner Lotus Bakeries has just announced a strategic partnership with Mondelēz (think Cadbury’s, Milka, Toblerobe) to develop and market co-branded chocolate products featuring its caramelised biscuit in the UK and other European markets 🍫 Through the partnership, the brands aim to bring new innovations to the chocolate category that will ‘surprise and delight consumers’ including combining the unique, caramelised, crunchy Biscoff taste and texture with Mondelēz’s iconic chocolate brands💡 Anticipated partnership wins for both brands: 🌟 Able to accelerate their growth in the cookie and chocolate categories. 🌟 Able to enter into adjacent segments and/or additional markets - for example, Biscoff has a focus on growing the brand in India which will be leveraged by Mondelēz’s distribution network and local market presence.
