Today is Robin's 17th birthday! 🎂 At Robin, we believe in sticking to our values every day. To celebrate, I asked my amazing team one question: What's one word that describes working at Robin? 🤔 The big answer? "Freedom." 🕊️ But what does having freedom and working remotely really mean? It's not just about being flexible, it's about having control and trust. It's the freedom to pick your hours, plan your day your way, and be there for your family when they need you, like looking after sick kids during the day and working later. Working remotely also means less stress. No more getting stuck in traffic or rushing to reach the office on time. Instead, we get to start our day calmly at home, which helps us focus better and get more done. With nearly 8 years of experience here, I've seen firsthand how remote work lets us mix our personal and work lives smoothly, so we can do well in both areas. It's proof of the trust and support we share in our Robin team. 💙 What does freedom at work mean to you?

I get asked a lot about our #culture and how we have grown from a small hardware store in Winona, MN to the 7.2 billion dollar company Fastenal is today. Getting a little bit personal here… I am one of those people Daniel Florness talks about here. Starting out as a #parttime Sales Support in the middle of a career shift away from #tradework … I thought of Fastenal as a #resumebuilder and a #careergapfiller initially. Sometimes a job is a job, right? 6 years later (almost to the day) I am a #leader of our #recruiting operations for 6 states, work with the best #team of highly #talented leaders from very #diverse work backgrounds, and have been able to #upskill and #train into roles I never thought I would step into… all without having to skip from company to company. The best advice I can give… find a company that invests in YOU, not just financially… but with quality #training that will allow you to truly #findyourfuture.
