“Today, I had the opportunity to attend a marathon 4-hour meeting covering all things modular manufacturing. And if I'm honest, there were moments when I felt my will to live waning - not once, not twice, but three times! It dawned on me that our industry has been overcomplicated by some who honestly haven't got a clue. But fear not! Amidst the complexity, there shines a beacon of hope. We have some fantastic individuals within our industry who truly understand the core essence of what we do - manufacturing boxes. It's these enlightened minds that give me the confidence that, when the rest of the naysayers catch up with us, they too will realise just how easy it is. However, to ensure a bright and prosperous future for the global modular manufacturing industry, we must invest in the development of our future leaders. They need to truly grasp the intricacies of building these boxes at the grassroots level. Allow me to draw an unconventional but apt analogy: the Class of '92 in football, led by Manchester United (and being an Arsenal fan pains me). These lads learned their trade, honed their skills, and then went on to change the landscape of the game. Or Pep Guardiola who once played football at some of the greatest clubs in the world, and now is arguably the best manager in the world. In a similar vein, we need future leaders who have mastered the art of modular manufacturing to transform the way the industry approaches this process. By empowering these rising stars with knowledge, skills, and a deep understanding of the industry's simplicity, we can pave the way for revolutionary advancements. The journey may have its challenges, but I am confident that by amplifying our voices, sharing our experiences, and nurturing the growth of future leaders, we can shape a future where modular manufacturing becomes the norm.” Dan Pollard. #ModularManufacturing #SimplifiedFuture #EmpoweringFutureLeaders

Supporting Indiana manufacturers thru advocacy & resources provided by the Indiana Manufacturers Association
The Indiana Manufacturers Association is fortunate to have such a robust and talented group of industry leaders to make up our Board of Directors. This group is comprised of individuals from Fortune 500 companies to smaller family-owned businesses. Yet, they all share certain characteristics to accompany their servant mindsets. Each of our board members are: ► Invested & engaged in the industry ► Completely bought in to the mission of the IMA ► Deeply appreciative of the role manufacturing plays in our state’s economy ► Forward thinking with a passion for leaving the industry better for those that will follow ► Willing to give back & pay it forward The takeaway ….. You don’t have to be on a formal Board of Directors to embody these qualities. If we all embrace these characteristics in our own way, we will set a positive course for the future of our industry. Doing a little for the greater good will allow the manufacturing industry to continue to drive our state’s economy. Partner with the IMA to take the first step in securing the future of our industry. #IMA #manufacturing

Good morning from Puerto Rico! In just 60 minutes, this space will transform into a hub of inspiration, collaboration, and strategic thinking, as 100 dedicated volunteers of the American Supply Association (ASA) gather to chart the course for the next five years. ASA is a powerhouse, representing $57 billion in sales, over 4,300 branch locations, and more than 300 distribution and manufacturing firms. The scale of their influence is truly extraordinary. As I reflect on the magnitude of ASA’s reach, I’m struck by the immense Force For Good each of these businesses represents. They collectively uplift our society in countless ways – from ensuring access to clean water to empowering industrial capabilities. Their purpose is profound, their impact significant, and their potential boundless. Soon this room fills with leaders from companies like First Supply LLC , Coburn Supply Co. APR Supply Co. Pepco Sales and Marketing NIBCO INC. Texas Plumbing Supply Co Inc , Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc. , Bradford White , Porter Pipe & Supply, Dakota Supply Group, and many others. Together, we’ll embark on defining what’s possible for ASA and the industry over the next five years. Follow along as we explore the future of the industry and how these leaders are setting the stage for innovation, growth, and positive change. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of collective vision and leadership…. And being a Force For Good! #AmericanSupplyAssociation #Leadership #Strategy #ForceForGood #IndustryImpact

3 Powerful Lessons from a Fascinating Event Recently, I had the pleasure of attending an event packed with insightful takeaways. While there were many, here are three that really struck me: 1. Customer Love Drives Success, Not Shareholder Greed: Forget obsessing over shareholder value. Focus on building a product customers adore. When you achieve that, shareholder value naturally follows. Case in point: PACCAR, with 80 consecutive years of net profit! Prioritizing customer love is the recipe for sustained success. 2. Truck Stops, Treasures, and Trucker Talk: Preston Feight, CEO of a prominent company, has a unique habit. During family trips, he stops at truck stops to chat with drivers. Those conversations? Pure gold! He gathers invaluable feedback that fuels his engineering team. Talk about firsthand insights! 3. The Powerful Echo of Mentorship: Great leaders listen to their mentors, and those mentors significantly impact the next generation. Teachers, parents, and grandparents: your influence shapes the leaders of tomorrow. Remember, the impact of good mentorship echoes far and wide. A huge thank you to Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University for hosting such a thought-provoking event!
We’re honored to host Preston Feight, CEO of PACCAR, at Seattle University for the 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 this Wednesday! Don't miss this chance to gain insights from a top industry leader. This event is free and open to the public! Register to save your seat and submit your questions: https://lnkd.in/erXmZxx9
