"Do what you can, while you can, before you get sued.” In this recent The New York Times story https://lnkd.in/gSkF3qc8 about the upcoming tidal wave of litigation related to "forever chemicals," that warning came from an attorney advising a group of executives from chemicals, plastics and related industries. "Forever chemicals" are ubiquitous in household products, and, sadly, in the environment and in human bodies. New regulations from the Biden Administration have placed responsibility on local governments to clean up six of these chemicals from drinking water.... six out of 15,000! Next up: litigation pointed squarely at the companies that manufacture these chemicals and the products that use them. But there's another way to deal with the coming legal and financial onslaught besides getting in a defensive and reactive mode. You can proactively and aggressively use new technologies like NobleAI’s Science-Based AI to replace PFAS in product formulations at a speed that was unattainable and at a cost that was prohibitive ... until now. Instead of just worrying about and preparing for litigation, you can now leverage AI to reformulate your products and make them safer for all of us. #ScienceBasedAI #AIforScience #AIforIndustry #foreverchemicals #PFASregulations The New York Times NYTImes Hiroko Tabuchi https://lnkd.in/gSkF3qc8

Does your company sell or manufacture products in the EU? Then you should prepare for the new EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (#PPWR). 🌍 As the EU moves toward adopting the new PPWR, internal compliance processes and procedures will likely need to be reviewed and revised to align with the new requirements. 💡 Products and raw materials will need to be reassessed vis-à-vis compliance, requiring engagement with companies up and down the supply-chains. Also, systems for reuse/refill policies and take-back schemes may need to be established or strengthened. Preparing early will help you avoid costly penalties, litigation, and potential reputational damage. https://lnkd.in/gXkx3CSp Let’s be realistic. Governments and banks have heavily invested in plastic companies for years, making sudden taxation an impractical solution. Focusing solely on recycling, reusing, and reducing isn’t enough. Microplastics pose significant health risks, especially to babies, but current solutions fall short. Instead of imposing bans without plans, we should test and accept enzymatic biodegradation additives from various companies, including ours. By working together, we can develop comprehensive standards that benefit everyone and effectively address the problem. Let’s collaborate to create real change. #God #esg #plastic #solutions #Sustainability #Innovation #enzyme #additive for #plastic
