https://lnkd.in/gXkx3CSp Let’s be realistic. Governments and banks have heavily invested in plastic companies for years, making sudden taxation an impractical solution. Focusing solely on recycling, reusing, and reducing isn’t enough. Microplastics pose significant health risks, especially to babies, but current solutions fall short. Instead of imposing bans without plans, we should test and accept enzymatic biodegradation additives from various companies, including ours. By working together, we can develop comprehensive standards that benefit everyone and effectively address the problem. Let’s collaborate to create real change. #God #esg #plastic #solutions #Sustainability #Innovation #enzyme #additive for #plastic

Plastic is everywhere, and plastic affects everything. Don't let it consume your drinking straw needs, too. NantBioRenewables knows that straws are often necessary, but they don't have to be evils. You and your business (or workplace, restaurant, hotel, hospitality team, etc.) can #maketheswitch to Wave Ware compostable straws. They're strong and durable enough for multi-use -- and more eco-beneficial than paper straws. The kicker? They contain NO harmful microplastics. #winwin One ecofriendly straw at a time, we CAN fight back against harmful single-use plastics. Microplastics may be a new concept to some of us in the #legalfield, but they are quickly staking their claim in litigation across multiple industries. "Do what you can, while you can, before you get sued.” In this recent The New York Times story https://lnkd.in/gSkF3qc8 about the upcoming tidal wave of litigation related to "forever chemicals," that warning came from an attorney advising a group of executives from chemicals, plastics and related industries. "Forever chemicals" are ubiquitous in household products, and, sadly, in the environment and in human bodies. New regulations from the Biden Administration have placed responsibility on local governments to clean up six of these chemicals from drinking water.... six out of 15,000! Next up: litigation pointed squarely at the companies that manufacture these chemicals and the products that use them. But there's another way to deal with the coming legal and financial onslaught besides getting in a defensive and reactive mode. You can proactively and aggressively use new technologies like NobleAI’s Science-Based AI to replace PFAS in product formulations at a speed that was unattainable and at a cost that was prohibitive ... until now. Instead of just worrying about and preparing for litigation, you can now leverage AI to reformulate your products and make them safer for all of us. #ScienceBasedAI #AIforScience #AIforIndustry #foreverchemicals #PFASregulations The New York Times NYTImes Hiroko Tabuchi https://lnkd.in/gSkF3qc8

🔍 Empowering informed choices for Microplastic-Free living We’re excited to launch our certification label for Microplastic-Free Content and Microplastic-Free Containers; a step forward for transparency and safety in consumer products. By setting a threshold of 0.01 parts per billion (PPB) [0.01 µg/kg], we’re enabling products to be labeled as "Microplastic-Free" without misleading consumers. Just like other contaminants, achieving zero presence is near-impossible, so we’re setting a realistic standard that still minimizes exposure risks. 🔬 Why 0.01 PPB? Current research suggests this level is non-toxic, making it a safe, balanced threshold until further studies develop. We’re proud to empower consumers with a choice to limit microplastic ingestion while keeping standards transparent. 👉 Look for our certification labels on products soon, and take a step towards a cleaner future. Buying a “BPA-free” product is supposed to give consumers peace of mind, but in the case of baby bottles, there’s more to the story – and parents and caregivers deserve to know. Clarkson Law Firm has just filed two separate class action suits against Philips North America and Handi-Craft Company (parent company of Dr. Brown’s Baby) for failing to properly warn consumers about the dangers of their baby bottles and baby cups leaching harmful microplastics when heated. These companies are aware of the potential harm of these microplastics to infants and are relying on the “BPA-free” label to provide a false sense of security to consumers. Philips and Handi-Craft need to be held accountable, and our suits are demanding they be truthful about the dangers — or put an end to using polypropylene plastic for their bottles.
