Good morning everyone! We wish you all a good end of the working week and a positive start into the weekend. Let's all take the time we have to work on one's self. What is holding me back and how can I overcome it. What is holding Africa back seems to be clear but can be researched in detail. We have done our research and are ready to visit one of our core markets: Ajumako/Enyan/Essiam District in Ghana. The Central Region is one of Ghana's poorest regions and the Ajumako/Enyan/Essiam District is the poorest District in that Region, making it the perfect target market for our socio-economic measures. 1. Invest heavily into agriculture as this will effect 100% of the families living in the district. At least one member of each of the families living in the Ajumako/Enyan/Essiam District is into farming or has land that can be farmed. 2. Build infrastructure that will enable farmers to produce products that can be sold in surrounding shops, thereby diversifying their income and further stabilizing the respective families by providing job opportunities. 3. build further infrastructure i.e. production facilities for the surrounding handymen that work out of their shacks with sub-optimal tools. Thereby centralizing the workforce and focusing the resulting power consumption. We will produce belts, shoes, sandals, tools etc. After these three simple but integral steps have been taken there will be a drop in prices for food and a rise in successful entrepeneurship as well as taxes paid. *There is a consultative forum by Nigerian Ministry of Labour and Employment known as HuCaPAN* I was thinking Chatered Institute of Personnel Management, CIPM Nigeria is the biggest umbrella body for Nigerian Recruiters but here we are, the ministry of Labour and Employment Agent that contacted me spoke about HuCaPAN. It seems like they are the one that is in alignment with ILO and Federal Government of Nigeria. I’m of the candid opinion that different professional body with the same object clause should merge into one. It’s always easy to create one but paying membership and licensing dues for several professional organizations is not as easy as it seems. *HuCaPAN* HuCaPAN is the acronym for **Human Capital Providers Association of Nigeria**. It is an umbrella body of private employment agencies in Nigeria that provides a platform for its members to interact with the regulatory body (government), labor, communities, and other relevant institutions within and outside Nigeria. The association aims to develop and promote International Labor Organization (ILO) standards and ethical practices in recruitment, deployment, and management of manpower in Nigeria. The association is registered by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Productivity . It provides consultancy services to member-companies on compliance-related issues free of charge and assists member-companies to review Service Level Agreements and provide professional advice . HuCaPAN also informs members of legislations, developments, and practices relating to recruitment, deployment, and management of manpower in and outside Nigeria . In East Sepik Province (Papua New Guinea), the informal sector plays a crucial role in the local economy, encompassing a wide array of small-scale businesses and self-employment activities that operate outside formal regulatory frameworks. Despite its significant contribution to employment and income generation, businesses within the informal sector often face numerous challenges, including limited access to tailored business advisory services. The importance of providing specific or tailored advisory to informal sector businesses in our Province cannot be underestated. We must bridge this critical gap.

PAPUA NEW GUINEA IN A STATE OF ANARCHY This morning, I witnessed firsthand a group of men preying on a young, unsuspecting, and vulnerable woman, robbing her of her belongings. She pleaded and cried in fear, but these criminals showed no humanity. This situation compels me to write. Papua New Guinea's current economic and social state speaks for itself—we are falling apart. Despite our wealth in mineral resources, rich biodiversity, scenic places, and cultural diversity, PNG is on life support. Every day in the heart of the capital city, Port Moresby, so-called tegeras or petty thieves harass, intimidate, and rob young women, mothers, and even strong adults. While hardworking citizens strive to provide for their families, unemployed youths roam the streets like hyenas, preying on others' hard work. There is no respect for fellow sisters, mothers, or even the rule of law. The root cause of this social crisis is the economic situation. Inflation, unemployment, low wages, and reckless government spending have crippled us. Average households live paycheck to paycheck, while the gap between the middle and upper class widens, with the elite living luxurious lives shielded from reality. I wish our politicians, secretaries, and top government officials would walk the streets of Port Moresby and witness the everyday struggles of the average Papua New Guinean. Only then would they grasp the reality and work towards viable solutions before things deteriorate further. Insert: Crisis at Jacksons Airport due to flight cancellation @12th May 6am #ANARCHY

The Buipe port was established in 1996 as part of the Volta Lake Transport System to enhance inland water transport and facilitate trade and movement of goods in Ghana. It was an effort to utilize the Volta Lake for transportation and economic development. The Buipe port can help economic development in several ways: 1. 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲: It enables efficient transport of goods between the northern and southern regions of Ghana, reducing transportation costs and time. 2. 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Farmers in the northern regions can transport their produce to larger markets in the south more easily, increasing their market reach and income. 3. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀: The port operations and related logistics services create employment opportunities in the region. 4. 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Easier access to raw materials and markets can attract industries to set up operations nearby, promoting industrial growth. 5. Imagine a private company in Osun State paying graduates N40k as a monthly salary. Paying 40k to graduates in this current economic hardship is unfair. Unfortunately, the graduates who work with the company said they have no choice, although, we are trying to get better offers within Osogbo in sha Allah. Also, imagine one of the most profitable companies in Nigeria collecting money from its staff for training. If the company is afraid that the staff will run away after the training then they should have a bond agreement with the staff. However, if you think critically, you wouldn't fault the company's decision because whether the bond agreement or not, the staff can leave the company after the training without the company knowing their whereabouts. Probably, Japa to America to Canada and used the certificate of the training to get a better offer there while the Nigerian company suffered from professional staff. Nigerians are the greatest problem of Nigeria. No exceptions. #GodBlessNigeria #MayTinubuSucceed

PPMI has concluded its evaluation of the International Labour Organization‘s (ILO) 8.7 Accelerator Lab, an initiative aimed at strengthening the efforts to tackle child and forced labour and achieve SDG target 8.7. The evaluation examined how the Lab contributed to ending forced and child labour in Ghana, Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Africa. At the same time, it also looked into the ILO's overall approach to development cooperation, to ensure that the child and forced labour branch itself can become more effective worldwide. Our efforts offered a balanced perspective, considering both specific project impacts and broader institutional strategies. #PPMIprojects #ILO
