Cargo Security and Global Regulations in Focus at AirCargo 2024. Cargo security, shifting global regulations and its impact on trade, and emerging tech to benefit forwarding are to take center stage at AirCargo 2024 when it takes place in just over two weeks, from February 11-13. Almost 800 delegates and 85 exhibitors from across the international air cargo community have signed up to attend what will be the largest AirCargo conference so far, this year taking place at the Omni Louisville Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. Brandon Fried, Executive Director, The Airforwarders Association Association, said: “With just two weeks left to go and almost 800 already signed up, this year’s conference is poised to set a record and exceed last year’s attendance, which makes us very excited. It was a real pleasure sharing a stage with airline distribution and retailing legends Keith Wallis of Air Canada, Expedia Group’s Paul Butcher, and Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC)’s Shelly Younger to talk about the reality of business and technology evolution in our industry from creating offers to accounting for orders. New Distribution Capability (#NDC) in context - as an enabling philosophy and standard for dynamic, airline-controlled contextualized offers in a world of modern airline retailing through offers and orders - brings the abstract to life. Real people, real successes, real progress. Outcomes that benefit everyone, retailer to seller to consumer. I was asked a lovely question from our audience at the back end of the panel: “what’s it like working for a company - ATPCO - that has dedicated itself to successful industry outcomes, even if it means a different ATPCO in the future?”. The answer…it’s epic, unique, an opportunity to think hard about resonating business problems across an entire industry and scale solutions for them with speed and accuracy, using our utility model, our transparent governance.
