Dried meat although has nutrients preserved at the drying stage, water soluble and heat sensitive nutrients are usually lost at cooking. This is because the nutrients are leached into water and discarded during rinsing the meat. It is always advisable to reduce the cooking time to prevent the amount of nutrients leached. 2. Biltong and all its varieties (chili bites etc)should be consumed in moderation. They are a the major contributors for high blood pressure amongst many. Additionally if you have been having spasms of migraines and headaches, you may need to review your processed food #World_food_day

Eating more plants is not only about fruit and vegetables - it's all plants! Grains often get short shrift and we do get stuck on the same ones very easily. There is more to grains than wheat and rice. Oats, rye, spelt, quinoa....any others? What's your favourite?
