Today we join other companies across the country in recognizing #NationalHireAVeteranDay, a day that raises awareness of civilian employment for transitioning service members and #veterans after their #military service. FedPoint has a deep commitment to supporting members of the military and their families—not only as a third-party #benefits administrator that administers nearly 1.5 million uniformed service member enrollments, but also through philanthropic efforts, and—perhaps most importantly—as an employer. We’re proud to be designated a Veteran Friendly Business with the State of NH Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services, and we have programs in place to ensure that the veterans we do hire have long-term career opportunities and a growth plan that uses the diverse skills they acquired through their military service. Compliance Project Manager Emily Lento and Claims Team Lead Paul Evans are just two of FedPoint’s veteran employees who are key contributors to our company’s success and growth. We thank them and all of our veteran employees for the life experience, skills, and leadership they bring to the table. Today, on this #MemorialDay, we honor and remember the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Let's honor their legacy by shedding light on their transition to civilian life. With around 200,000 individuals leaving the US military each year, this group represents a significant portion of job seekers facing unique challenges. As we commemorate their service, it's crucial to recognize that the transition from soldier to civilian is often misunderstood. With 8.8 million veterans in US employment, comprising 5.8% of the labor force, their contributions are undeniable. However, the lower labor force participation rate for veterans (47.9% vs. 64.7% for nonveterans) highlights the obstacles they encounter in securing employment. Let's support our veterans not just in words, but in actions, by ensuring they have access to the opportunities and resources they deserve. #MemorialDay #Veterans #TransitiontoCivilianLife #JenniferTardyConsulting

The breadth of aptitude, skills, and training that are transferable and add real value to our business is what makes us who we are. We currently employ 19 colleagues who have either served in the forces or continue to offer their skills as a Reservist or Forces Volunteer. Recognising Armed Forces Week is crucial to us for several reasons: 1) Armed Forces Week is a time to express our gratitude and appreciation for the courageous men and women who have served in the armed forces. This week allows us to honour their sacrifices, dedication, and unwavering commitment to protecting our nation. 2) By recognising Armed Forces Week, we can raise awareness about the challenges faced by veterans and their families long after they have left the military. It helps shed light on the importance of supporting and assisting them in their transition to civilian life; it’s not easy being a civilian! 3) At Whitetree Group, we take great pride in our commitment to supporting our veterans. It’s not just serving personnel, reservists, and veterans who are impacted by their military service. Military spouses and partners are also affected. Especially when it comes to their careers. In our 2023 Evaluation Survey, 50% of military spouses and partners told us that military life has had a negative impact on their careers. One in six stated that they’d had to leave a job or education to allow their serving partner to pursue their military careers. But it doesn’t have to be that way. It just requires a different approach. Here at the MCN we are doing our bit to change that stat around: • Free access to a professional network of like-minded people. • Free access to a comprehensive resource library, events, and opportunities to enable members to create and maintain a professional life alongside military life. • Low-cost, affordable access to a professional network of coworking hubs on military bases across the UK and abroad to enable remote, home, and hybrid working. *MCN 2023 Evaluation Report You can find out the details here https://ow.ly/wbeh50R312N #MCN #Coworking #MCNCommunityRocks #Militaryspouses #Militarypartners #Military #Careers Naval Families Federation (NFF) Army Families Federation (AFF) RAF Families Federation Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust RAF Association Maria Lyle Vanessa Plumley MBE Sarah Stone Linzi Jenkinson Megane Bambridge
