One of the best parts of economic development work is seeing how various industries, organizations, and partners—who may seem quite different—can actually support each other to create lasting frameworks for growth. Check out how Tulsa Innovation Labs and Tulsa Ports connected to see where they can support each other in their work and have a little fun along the way, too!
Yesterday, the Tulsa Innovation Labs team took a field trip to Tulsa Ports to learn more about the Nation's most inland, ice-free port that sits right here in #Tulsa! I am passionate about what our region uniquely offers advanced industries, and while many people may not consider an industrial partner such Tulsa Ports central to a tech-led economic development strategy, advanced manufacturing and industrial users will be to critical to completing our vision for a globally competitive tech hub in the heartland. It was so fun showing the team how our #BBBRC projects and coalition members are working towards shared goals. Thank you Andrew Ralston, Brian Bigbie, and Sheila Shook for the barge ride and taking the time to show us around and sharing your vision for the future! Onward! #partnership #tulsaregion #economicdevelopment #boatday
