“Everyone’s going to go into menopause at some point or another—why shouldn’t we be talking about it?!” You don’t have to be a Hollywood star to relate: if you’re a woman in or approaching menopause, there might be some fear, shame, and anxiety surrounding it—naturally! But Naomi Watts is right. All women *will* get there so we need to put the topic on the table sooner rather than later. It’s conversations like these that are going to shift the entire culture around menopause and help society approach it with more understanding and empathy. Keep it up. Others 👏 are 👏 listening.

This is such an important topic for everyone. Men need more education in perimenopause and the menopause in general. Especially those of us in management and leadership positions. I'm fortunate enough to be a biologist and to have previously managed women's health accounts in a MedComms agency but more importantly, I've learned from the personal perspective of being a husband. Incredible to see open conversation taking place.

If menopause applied to men, there would be a disability program. As its for women, it has not even been properly researched or studied and we are are not expected to talk about it.

Instead of fear and anxiety, I have learnt to become more curious about how my body changes and what I need to do to adapt these changes, so my body and mind can continue supporting what I want to do and how I function on the daily basis. This has led me to be excited about this chapter of my life. We cannot stop aging process, but we CAN control how we cope with it and what we do to navigate through this process, so we can go into this stage of our lives gracefully and continue to shine ✨ The Female Quotient

Is this a show? I would love to know where I can watch this.

I was 40% feral before menopause. Now, I'm like 98.5% and feel fortunate to work for people who encourage me to step away when need be.

Thanks for sharing Hortense Bioy, CFA ! We need to normalise a biological stage in women’s life at work. Each time someone talks openly about menopause, they normalise the experience and make it easier for others to follow. I just turned 50, I’m perimenopause and in HRT. All absolutely normal. I read and research a lot about it to reduce symptoms and I talk about it at work the same way as when I was pregnant (another biological stage of women’s life) I really feel more confident and confortable with myself than ever! 💪🏼

Which of these amazing actresses is going to produce a clever documentary about menopause that people will want to watch (& release to all streaming services for accessibility)?

As women we suffer alone. 🙁 To shift the culture around menopause, we can start by launching educational campaigns that spread awareness and create supportive spaces for women to share their experiences. Integrating menopause education into schools ensures future generations are informed and empathetic. More public figures, like Naomi Watts, can act as ambassadors by sharing their stories to foster open dialogue. Governments, academic institutions, and healthcare organizations should host workshops to improve understanding on this topic and provide resources.  It’s important to foster a culture of understanding and empathy around menopause, replacing shame and anxiety with open dialogue and support.
