This piece rings true - efforts to build equity and inclusion face entrenched backlash fueled by disinformation and fearmongering. But we cannot afford complacency when fundamental human dignity is at stake daily. Progress toward inclusion follows no straight line, but persists as collective work needing renewed commitment. Small acts of solidarity and kindness can unite where rhetoric divides. We each shape culture with patience, listening, and speaking the truth. It takes courageous empathy over cynicism. The quest for justice continues. #EquityAndInclusionForAll #RebuildWithLove #Empathy #Equity #Inclusion

Innovating for Equality: The Power of Supporting Black-Owned Businesses Let's talk about driving business growth and fueling success; not just for individuals, but for our communities and nation. A recent study found that about six-in-10 Black adults view supporting Black businesses as an extremely useful strategy toward achieving racial equality in the U.S. Why? Because owning businesses leads to more job opportunities and community development, crucial factors to a stronger, more equitable society. As consumers and entrepreneurs, our commitment to nurturing innovation within our small businesses is our best bet to creating lasting change. We are contributing to an ecosystem that nourishes growth, success, and equality. Let's continue to promote and support Black-owned businesses, sharing resources, opportunities, and shining a spotlight on innovation that's driving us forward. Let's accelerate equality one business at a time. #BlackBusiness #Empowerment #Innovation #Equality #Success #Growth #Support #Community #SmallBusinessOwners #Entrepreneurship

📚 Excited to share a powerful read: "Race Rules: What Your Black Friend Won't Tell You" by Fatimah Gilliam, my friend and fellow Wellesley College alum. 🌟 Gilliam presents a candid and insightful examination of race relations in our society, shedding light on the complexities of navigating race dynamics individually and collectively. She challenges us to confront our biases and assumptions while providing actionable steps to foster inclusivity and racial justice. Highly recommend this book! #RaceRules #DiversityandInclusion #Equality #BookRecommendation 📖🌍

Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, we come together to acknowledge the ongoing challenges in eradicating racial prejudice and inequality while also embracing the opportunities we have to create a more inclusive and just world. This day serves as a powerful reminder of our shared responsibility to combat racial discrimination in all its forms and to strive for a society where every individual, regardless of race or ethnicity, is valued, respected, and given equal opportunities to flourish. As we observe this significant day, let us take a moment to reflect on our actions and their impact on promoting racial equality and inclusivity. It's an occasion to celebrate our global community's diversity and reaffirm our commitment to cultivating spaces—in our workplaces and beyond—where diversity is not merely tolerated but wholeheartedly embraced and celebrated. Recognizing that our actions have far-reaching consequences across society, I urge each of us to take a step today toward advancing racial equality. Whether we educate ourselves and others, advocate for policies that dismantle systemic racism, or support organizations dedicated to fighting racial injustice, every effort makes a difference. Let's use our platforms, voices, and actions to champion a culture of empathy, respect, and mutual understanding. #StandAgainstRacism #InclusivityInAction #Empathy #RacialEquality #March21

Reflecting and Acting This Juneteenth Today marks Juneteenth, a day of profound historical significance that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It's a day to celebrate freedom and reflect on the journey toward equality and the work that still lies ahead. At Learn2, we recognize that true progress requires more than reflection—it demands action. This Juneteenth, we are renewing our commitment to fostering equality and justice, not just within our organization but across our broader community. Here’s how we're moving forward: - Diversity in Leadership: We're committed to enhancing diversity at all levels of our organization, recognizing that diverse leadership leads to more innovative and inclusive decision-making. - Supporting Policies that Promote Equality: We advocate for policies that ensure fairness and justice in the workplace. We encourage our network to join us in supporting such initiatives, whether through advocacy, informed voting, or public dialogue. - Community Engagement: We pledge to increase our engagement with community initiatives that work towards racial justice and equal opportunity. We urge our community to get involved and support these causes. This Juneteenth, let us embrace the spirit of freedom and the responsibility we all share in fostering a just society. Each of us holds the power to effect change, no matter how small our actions might seem. Together, let’s commit to being agents of change—by educating ourselves, speaking out against injustice, and standing for equality in every aspect of our lives. How will you use your influence to make a difference today? #Juneteenth #Equality #Justice #ActionForChange

I completely agree with this statement. Taking a stand against injustice, unfairness, or threats to safety is crucial, and it's essential to model this behavior for the next generation. When speaking up, we demonstrate to our children the importance of advocacy and the power of their voice. Even if the impact of speaking out isn't immediately visible, it plants the seeds for change and reinforces the values of integrity and courage. When we confront these issues, we are not only addressing the immediate problem but also contributing to a culture where silence in the face of wrongdoing is not tolerated. This can lead to broader societal changes over time, as more individuals feel empowered to take action. Teaching children to recognize and challenge inequities helps them develop a strong moral compass and prepares them to be proactive, compassionate adults. Our actions today can inspire future generations to continue the fight for a just and safe world, fostering a legacy of positive change and resilience.
On this #Juneteenth, a company holiday at Thrive Global, we use this day to reflect on the history of the day, and those, like the late Rep. John Lewis, who sacrificed so much in the long struggle for justice and racial equality.
