Aberdeen International Airport’s Community Fund, the ABZ Propeller Fund, has supported more than 10 projects this year, with half of the £30,000 funding still available. In 2024, the funding amount was increased to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the North East’s largest transport hub. Established to support the region, the ABZ Propeller Fund has been vital in supporting numerous worthy causes. Since its relaunch in 2022, Aberdeen International Airport has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering local initiatives and driving positive change within the community. Ferrovial is proud to be Aberdeen Airport's lead investor and continue supporting neighbouring communities. ✈️ https://lnkd.in/d5gtkYms

Founder & CEO, Resolve Foundation | AmCham Women of Influence Awardee | Gen T Honouree | Voice for Social Good | Asia 21 Fellow 2024 | Supermom of 4
Excited to announce Resolve Foundation new campaign #RipplesofChange to enhance our Opportunity Fund and explore #participatorygrantmaking in Hong Kong. Please do support us in the month of May to reach out target of 120,000 HKD, which would fund four community grants. We’re preparing to launch a round of “Participatory Grantmaking”, where we will directly engage potential beneficiaries in the decision making process for project funding allocation. This innovative approach enables communities to identify solutions that best meet their needs, ultimately leading to more effective and impactful grantmaking. Such an inclusive approach to funding has already proven to be effective and impactful elsewhere in Asia, however it is still relatively new to Hong Kong. At Resolve we've always been open to new ways to break down barriers and promote inclusivity. We believe that now is the right time to pilot, learn, and share our findings as we look for better ways to engage, empower and generate impact for the marginalized and disadvantaged communities we support. This pilot is an early step on a journey in a more trust-based direction that has the potential to transform giving in Hong Kong.

Dear friends, many of you have known us and our work, and what we stand for. We empower emerging leaders from under-represented and marginalised communities to be change makers and social catalysts. Our #RipplesofChange campaign enhances Resolve Foundation's Opportunity Fund and further strengthens the narrative of #participatorygrantmaking in Hong Kong. We remain with a target of $24k by this Friday and ask for your support in this final push! The Opportunity Fund was launched in 2020 as a continuation of Resolve’s support to our alumni in their pursuit of social justice. Since early-stage funds are not always available, we offer Resolve alumni a seed grant as a means of launching projects and turning their ideas for equality into action. Through giving them this start-up funding and support, our alumni are empowered to transform their innovative community aspirations into meaningful projects and initiatives that deliver tangible benefits and outcomes to marginalized and disadvantaged communities in Hong Kong. beneficiary outcomes. Since its launch, we have run six rounds of supported grant-making through the Opportunity Fund, disbursing over HK$715k to 25 community start-up projects (15 completed, 10 still ongoing). Already, these start-up projects have benefited an estimated 9,000 people across Hong Kong. Resolve Foundation #RipplesofChange #OpportunityFund #socialjustice #participatorygrantmaking

Our wind farms are helping to decarbonise the grid, but did you know they also bring considerable investment into the communities living nearby? For instance, the Fallago Environment Fund, has awarded more than £2 million to a huge range of projects across the Scottish Borders, since it launched in 2013. The Fallago Environment Fund is funded by Roxburghe Estates, Federated Hermes and EDF Renewables UK. Many of those receiving support from the Fallago Environment Fund will have had their funds matched. In fact, it's estimated that an extra £10 has been raised for every £1 donation from the Fund... which is a huge boost to the local area. The Fund has supported projects focused on: 🔸 Habitat restoration 🔸 Historic building preservation 🔸 New museums 🔸 Support for vulnerable residents and young people 🔸 Community events 🔸Covid-19 support Pictured (left-right) are Liam Haig, Area Manager for EDF Renewables UK and His Grace, The Duke of Roxburghe. #CommunityBenefitFunds #Scotland #Communities #Sustainability #OnshoreWind
