Meet Jayden Gonzalez, our summer intern and rising senior at FAU, who shares his experience working at FGI: I was attracted to this internship because I felt I would get a hands-on experience working closely with the team at FGI. I also thought that learning more about the secured finance industry would be interesting, as it is not commonly covered in school. I’ve been able to work on several different tasks for multiple clients, including performing debtor invoice reviews, reviewing trended borrowing base reports, performing debtor verifications, as well as analyzing client borrowing base reporting for errors and trends. I would describe the work culture and environment as fantastic. Every team member that I have met or spoken to has been very kind and always willing to help. My supervisor Eric Adornetto has been very supportive throughout my internship, always there to answer any questions I have and frequently checking in on me to make sure I am understanding the tasks and that I have everything I need. In reflecting on my experience, I found that I learned a lot that cannot be covered in a classroom. No class can properly prepare you for the specific nuances of the responsibilities you have once you enter the workforce, so I think this experience has been really important.
Impressive growth!
