As Dyn Media GmbH our commitment to sports like handball, basketball, volleyball, hockey, and table tennis isn't just about broadcasting games—it's about driving the future of these sports by investing in their growth at the grassroots level. Our Move Your Sport initiative is at the core of this mission. This season, we're expanding this initiative, empowering our subscribers to directly support youth sports development by choosing to allocate 10% of their subscription fees to one of our five featured sports. These funds, which will total a seven-figure amount in 2024, are being funneled directly to our partner leagues to implement projects that make a tangible difference. Each league is using these resources to strengthen the foundations of their sport, ensuring that the next generation of athletes not only has the chance to play but to thrive. In compliance with NCAA's Title IX guidelines to ensure gender equity in sports, SFA is unable to establish a men's tennis team. As the President of the SFA Tennis Club, I, and fellow officers have devised a strategic approach to our practice schedules and drills to provide a competitive resource tailored to male tennis players at SFA. Our goal is to boost participation and most importantly, to sustain it. Mirroring the commitment of SFA Athletics to Title IX regulations, our club is following suit. We strive to offer tennis as a sport for students who may not have the chance to play at the collegiate level due to the absence of opportunities. Our overarching objective is to reflect varsity sports teams and practices by aligning our intentions with all three prongs of Title IX: proportionality, expansion, and accommodating of interests.

We have today announced another exciting step in England Netball's adventurous journey towards professionalising the game in England, with the confirmation of the 8 teams that will participate in the Netball Super League in 2025. - Less teams and smaller squad sizes mean a more equal dispersal of talent and more competitive games featuring only the best players - Raised expected operating standards across Club performance environments should enable higher levels of support for athletes - Enhanced player pathways will ensure a sustainable pipeline of talent coming into the senior game - Increased athlete payments should mean more athletes can devote more time to their netball and girls will see netball as a potential career choice Athletes able to devote more of their time to their netball training, enhanced coaching and support, a sustainable pipeline of talent and a more compelling competition should all benefit our national team, the Vitality Roses, and our ambition to win the Netball World Cup. 🏀【Sports BIZ News】🇹🇼New Taiwanese Professional Basketball League Announced Chairman Wang Wen-Hsiang of the New Taipei Kings, a member of Taiwan's P League Plus, has announced the formation of a new professional basketball league. Over the past three years, he has contributed to the development of Taiwanese professional basketball and proposed the "New League," aiming to integrate the existing PLG and T1 leagues. Nine teams from PLG and T1 have expressed their intention to join, with one additional team from Southeast Asia expected to participate. The name, regulations, and system of the new league will be discussed among the members under principles of fairness and justice. BUSTING THE MYTHS (Part 3) 💥 FACT or MYTH?👉 Banning betting on ITF competitions can help the integrity of tennis 👉 MYTH !   FACTS: A study on the availability of betting products analysed the issue and found that a ban of  ITF tennis seems a disproportionate and unevidenced approach. Whilst the ITF Tour does generate the highest number of betting alerts, that should be viewed in the context of the sizeable number of tournaments (and matches) provided by that tour. Indeed, while the alert numbers may be higher, as a result of a significant number of additional tournaments, it is clear from a consideration of the ITF Tour that it does not pose a significantly heightened risk compared to the other tours from an alert to tournament/match ratio. For example, the number of alerts, and the associated risk profile, for ITF women’s tennis is significantly lower, but it appears to be categorised within a wider general ITF higher risk classification. To put this into context, comparing the integrity risk for the men’s ATP Challenger Tour and ITF women’s equivalent W40-100 & WTA 125 during 2021-23 shows that the women’s tour is significantly lower, accounting for only 20% of alerts compared to 80% with the ATP Challenger Tour. The Challenger Tour is an important part of the tennis betting product, and its prohibition would make the offshore market attractive to consumers wanting to wager on that tour. It is therefore important that the Challenger Tour is permitted with licensed onshore operators, but similarly also valid that the ITF W40-100 (along with WTA 125) is permitted for betting as an equivalent level competition, which shows a low integrity risk profile. So, the new Sky Sports Tennis TV Ad: https://bit.ly/3SD0nlL I'm trying to figure out who it's aimed at and what's the thinking behind it. Being an inhabitant of AdLand, I get the reference to the Sony Bravia ad: https://bit.ly/47Vg8sr Well, reference isn't really the right word is it? More like remake. But why? Why remake that ad? Yes, I get the joke that the coloured balls have been replaced with the 'new balls' of tennis balls. But, as I said, i'm from AdLand and have been here some time. So I was bound to get the joke. But the Bravia ad is 15 years old now which means anybody outside of AdLand who remembers it well enough to get the joke or the "homage", would have to remember it from its actual flighting. Unlike us, they haven't had the memory reinforced via repeated showings at ad festivals and references to it in creative reviews and directors' treatments that we've had the luxury of. By my reckoning that means they're probably at least 35-going-on-40 now. Is that the demographic that Sky Tennis is aiming to attract? The only other explanation I can think of that would make this ad work the way its creators intended, with the audience they were intending to attract (presumably younger than 40) would be if the original ad was such a huge cultural phenomenon it's become part of the collective consciousness of people in the UK, regardless of how young they were when the ad flighted. But i'm not sure SONY put lots of media budget into targeting under-20's all those years ago, so i can't help but think that this ad, like my forehand, is just going to whizz over the heads of the people it's really meant for.
