This post feels apt, after celebrating Connects fifth birthday with Corinna Nicol last night… Before we can truly commit to anything in life - whether it’s a relationship, a career, a goal/dream or even a purchase/investment - there’s something more fundamental: connection. It’s that spark, that feeling of alignment and mutual understanding that forms the foundation of lasting bonds. Without connection, commitment can feel wrong or forced. But when we genuinely connect, commitment becomes effortless. How are you building connections in your world? One route to build connections is via social media - it isn’t just about likes and shares… it’s a powerful tool for building authentic connections and often across long distances. It allows us to engage, find common ground and share stories. By fostering meaningful interactions online, we create a sense of community and trust, which naturally leads to deeper commitments, whether personal or professional. The key is to use social media as a platform for genuine connection - one that paves the way for lasting relationships both on and offline. How could you use social media to spark real connections? ⚡️

Unveiling Your Authentic Value Have you ever felt the weight of trying to be someone you're not just to fit in or impress others? I can vividly recall a moment during a speaking program when we were asked to craft personal stories to connect with others. Eager to impress, I presented myself as a dynamic speaker, using big words and projecting authority. However, deep down, I knew something was off. I wasn't being authentic; I was merely trying to embody an idealized version of a speaker, disconnected from my true self. What aspects of your true self do you feel hesitant to share with others? Share in the comment section below and let's have a conversation Also, Join me on a journey of self-discovery and purpose. Let's connect and explore together! My friend booked an OYO for ₹948. The property denied check-in and asked for ₹1,200. This is shocking. We immediately contacted OYO support and they contacted three properties, none of which picked up the calls. Their resolution was to shift to a different hotel a few kilometres away that wants ₹1,200 in cash at the property. This is the reality of OYO. Harass people, charge extra, and shockingly, they even charged ₹63 for cancellation of the property. This is the state of startups and relationship-building with property owners. Ritesh Agarwal, please focus on providing customers at least the bare minimum and the price you promise. Your company is duping people and harasssing them when they travel a dozen kilometres to reach your property and get denied check-in because of extra charges. This was a mind-numbing experience.
