𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞👇👇 One of the benefits of growing up in a rural setting is communal living. Everyone shares with everyone. The apex of this communal living is usually experienced during December, as it is a month characterized by giving and receiving. I wasn't born with a silver spoon but, we were not exempted from giving and receiving. No matter your level of financial stability, there is always something to give, my mum will always say. Fast forward to many years later, this culture of always finding something to give to others stuck with me. Yearly as December approaches, I look forward to giving out things in anticipation of the broad smiles on the faces of my recipients. Everyone loves to receive gifts, it shows thoughtfulness, compassion, and love. When you give gifts to people it assures them of one thing, "I AM THINKING OF YOU". Wouldn't you want to feel loved? Wouldn't you want to have the feeling that someone is thinking of you? Read on👇👇👇👇👇👇 It came to a point I realized that, in December, I think of everyone else except myself. I realized I spend so much time thinking of what to give to people that will gladden their hearts, but I never thought of what to gift myself that will make me experience the joy I give others. As I began to ponder, I realized that it is very common with humans to think of everyone else except themselves. You plan for everyone else except yourself, you rarely remember to make yourself happy. Something had to change🤷🤷 What can I give myself this December, I thought. Haoma Worgwu came to mind. How can I tap from her wealth of wisdom and expertise? The answer was staring me in the face. #20dayschallengewithhaoma was the answer. Yes! This is my gift to myself this December, I am investing in self-development, and I am investing in my growth on LinkedIn.
