The Loss and Damage Collaboration (LDC) is excited to announce a new project focused on the wellbeing of those impacted by and working on #LossAndDamage! 🍃The Challenge: #LossAndDamage actors face a heavy burden – both personally from the climate crisis and professionally from the immense task at hand. NSW GOV PERFORMANCE AND WELLBEING FRAMEWORK By now, many people in the sustainability, ESG, public benefits, partnership with Country or as an umbrella term- ‘social value’ space, know about the pending performance and wellbeing framework. It’s a good step forward, but as I wrote about when the ‘measuring what matters’ federal equivalent framework was released mid last year (link below), the real opportunity for all of us will be to recognise: ☑️ Small is beautiful. Business/ gov size is not a justification for one size fits all standardisation. Acknowledge and celebrate that every community is different, so the social values for wellbeing outcomes will look different too ☑️ Systems thinking is a critical skill set -Just because a dichotomy presents as an absolute solution, doesn’t make it so. Don’t underbake the conditions for many inter-dependant ideas to thrive. ☑️ Power of adapting business / gov programs to avoid impacts and indeed generate the wellbeing outcomes by design And of course- ☑️ get the culture right, ahead of any metric setting https://lnkd.in/gig9qBBn
