🌎 At Fieldfisher, we aspire to be a responsible and sustainable business and seek to put that commitment into action in a holistic, unifying and pragmatic way across our strategy, client services, operations, and culture. "Embracing ESG", in conjunction with "people first – our clients, our people and our communities" and "collaboration", provide three mutually reinforcing pillars for our vision of our business. We think this vision aligns very strongly with our clients' and our people's expectations.   #WorldEnvironmentDay provides us with an important prompt to refocus our commitments and collective action. We are increasingly focused, across our business, on how we can continue to drive our action around Net Zero and, in particular, on two key areas:   🟢 Managing levels of business travel and seeking to travel in less carbon intensive modes and classes of travel, where possible and subject to client servicing requirements. We have engaged with our travel provider to understand how we can build strategies and approaches to build an appropriate balance between our client service requirements and supporting shifting mindsets and providing our people with tools and guidance to help put action and a culture of "sustainability aware and less carbon intensive choices" in their hands. 🟢 Evolving our approach to sustainable procurement and engaging with our supply chain, especially around Scope 3 emissions data. In parallel, we also seek to foster shared conversations and opportunities for our people to directly engage around supporting environmental conservation initiatives and impact. Our key environmental conservation initiative, Rooting for Change, is a portfolio of firm-funded projects that supports and empowers people-led conservation to combat and solve for climate change. These projects are led by local communities to embed local leadership and expertise with tools and resources to protect their environment for future generations. Keep your eye on our socials today for more details on these projects. This was the perfect day to host an interactive, client-focused insights session in collaboration with Zero Carbon Forum. Experts from our Sustainability and ESG team, including our speakers Jessica Gardner, Aonghus Heatley, and Zero Carbon Forum's Mark Chapman shared their latest insights on the UK and #EURegulatory landscape for sustainability in the #hospitality sector. We'll soon be sharing key takeaways from the session. #WeAreRootingForChange #Sustainability #EnvironmentalAction #Generation #Restoration #ESG #ClimateAction

It is great to see Fieldfisher taking sustainability so seriously. In today's environmentally conscious world, businesses must actively minimise their ecological footprint. One area that we can help you with is reducing landfill waste. 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗨𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 Many items that businesses discard could find new life through responsible donation channels. By implementing a well-organised donation drive, companies and their employees can divert gently used clothing, accessories, home goods, and other quality items away from landfills and towards charitable organisations. These organisations can reuse or recycle a staggering 90% of donated clothing, over 90% of donated books, and 85% of donated electrical goods. 😀👍 Moreover, each bag of donations can generate approximately £50 for charities like Fight for Sight / Vision Foundation, enabling us to fund life-changing therapies for vision-related conditions. To learn more and kickstart your company's pre-loved donation drive today, please DM me or email matthew.coleman@fightforsight.org.uk
