Most dams in uMngeni-uThukela Water’s area of operation are at high storage levels (i.e. above 90%). DID YOU KNOW? Water losses from water distribution systems, usually caused by reticulation system leaks (e.g. burst pipes and leaking valves), are a significant challenge that compromises water supply. Water losses reduce water availability whilst contributing to increasing water demand. Remember to report leaks to your local municipality. Play your part, and conserve our water! Please REPORT any water leaks, illegal water connections and servitude encroachments (building on water pipelines) you observe directly to your local municipality. • Msunduzi Municipality - City of Choice • UMgungundlovu District Municipality • Harry Gwala District Municipality • EThekwini Municipality • Ugu District Municipality • Ilembe District Municipality • King Cetshwayo District Municipality #DamMonday #makewatersafetyyourpriority #1waterboardforkzn

When it comes to buying rural and lifestyle properties, there are a few extra things you need to factor into your decision-making. Keep these things in mind when weighing up the pros and cons of prospective properties… - Water supply – what is the main water source? Is the property connected to the town supply, or will you need to use a bore or tank system? - Sewage systems – what sort of septic system does the property have? What condition are the tanks in? - Schools – how close is the local school, and how close to the bus route is the property? - What’s the cell phone and internet reception like at the property? #cambridgepropety #sellingcambridge #traceygrover #evesrealestate #EVESputaruru #cambridgerealestate #waikatohomes #cambridgehomes #waikatoproperty #realestatenz #househuntingnz #sellmyhomenz #cambridge

An important lesson for Chitral, GB and other rural areas of Pakistan as well. With bad ventilation during winters in the new architectural designs and the burning of wood is causing a lot of harm to human and animal health, including lung diseases and cancers. Many rural areas can super easily get rid of burning wood for heating and cooking if the government subsidise the (hydro) electricity (most of which is produced in the rural areas). I always point this out that if anyone or any organisation wants to work on environmental issues in our region, they have to work on making green power available and accessible to the people and help them transform to electric heating so they dont cut trees! They can be saved from all these different diseases due to smoke and cold, specislly up north. https://lnkd.in/eSjKpVp7

I am uncertain that how many of the north people might get diseases and cancer due to wood burning in winters. This is alarming situation and concern not because only wood is leading to Co2 emmissions but also almost everone in GB only having an option for heating source that is wood burning without alternate to it. This is lack of proper electricity availble to the public. #GB #noelectricity #greenenergy #cleanenergy

🚰 Challenges in Access to Cauvery Water Connection in Bengaluru Villages 🚰 It's disheartening to learn that many residents in Bengaluru villages are facing challenges in accessing Cauvery water connections. Despite some having paid for the service as far back as 2019, reports suggest that only 1.5 lakh out of 3.5 lakh residents have opted for it. Water is a basic necessity, and ensuring access for every citizen should be a priority. The reluctance of villagers to apply for the Cauvery water connection raises concerns about the reasons behind this hesitancy. Understanding and addressing these concerns are crucial to ensuring equitable access to this essential resource. As a community, we must advocate for solutions that bridge this gap and enable all residents to benefit from a reliable water supply. Let's come together to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and work towards a sustainable resolution that ensures every individual in Bengaluru has access to clean and safe water. #bubble #bluebubbletechnologies #water #WaterAccess #BengaluruVillages #CommunityDevelopment #CauveryWaterConnection #sustainability
