Well, I'm self-conscious about this but here goes. I've begun publishing an updated and revised version of my master's thesis, "In Search of Asylum: A Road Trip Through the History of Mental Health Care," on Substack. This is a travel book about the many former mental hospitals that lie empty or unused around the United States, and the different ways they're being preserved (or not). It's an account of how the modern mental health crisis came to be, and also a chronicle of my own life with mental illness. You can find it at https://lnkd.in/eWeecS2P.
