I did NOT expect personal branding to be this challenging. That's what many professionals say when they realize true influence goes beyond likes and shares. As a Personal Branding Strategist, I've seen countless individuals chase fame, only to find themselves feeling empty and inauthentic. The irony? In trying to build influence, many lose sight of what truly matters. Here's the reality check: 1/ Alignment is crucial. Your brand must reflect your genuine values, not just what's trending. 2/ Value creation is non-negotiable. You're not just selling yourself; you're contributing to your community and industry. 3/ Consistency is key. Ethical influence is built over time, not overnight. But it's not all uphill. The rewards of ethical influence are immeasurable. Implement these strategies: > Define your core purpose > Seek collaborations that amplify positive impact > Measure success by lives changed, not just followers gained Remember, ethical influence isn't about being perfect. It's about being purposeful. Before you chase the next trend, ask yourself: Am I building a brand that makes a real difference? If you are, keep going. Your influence has the power to change the world. What's your take? How are you using your influence for good? Share your stories below! #workethics #linkedinforcreators #personalbranding

Leaders, ““Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room” ~ Jeff Bezos . If this is true, time to rethink & rebuild your Personal Brand- But how ? For better or worse, in today’s world everyone is a brand. Whether you’re applying for a job, asking for a promotion, or writing a dating profile, your success will depend on getting others to recognize your value. So, you need to get comfortable marketing yourself ? It’s an intentional, strategic practice which you should invest to craft and express your own value proposition, and it involves seven steps: (1) Define your purpose by exploring your mission, passion, and strengths, and thinking about whom you want to make a difference to and how. (2) Audit your personal brand equity by cataloging your credentials, doing a self-assessment, and researching how other people view you. (3) Construct your personal narrative by identifying memorable, resonant stories that will best convey your brand. (4) Embody your brand by paying attention to the message you’re sending in every social interaction. (5) Communicate your brand through speeches, social media, the press, and other channels. (6) Socialize your brand by getting influential people to share your stories. (7) Reevaluate and adjust your brand by doing an annual audit to find deficits to fix and strengths to build on. This process will not only allow you to better control your image and the impact you have on the world but also help you uncover and share the unique abilities you have to offer it. #personalbranding #personalbrand #personalbrandingtips

💡 Whether you recognize it or not, you have an audience. That might be your collaborators, your clients/customers, your community, your investors, your bosses, etc.. And while the concept of personal branding is contentious for some, here’s a flag I will plant: 🎯 Personal branding is extremely important for multi-passionates. Why? Because you’re the swiss army knife who can do it all. So, if you’re unable to clearly articulate your value, people likely interact with you in one or both of the following ways: (1) They were exposed to your skills in ONE contained project where you excelled and they want to keep utilizing you for those specific skills… so the bulk of your capabilities are sidelined. (2) They know you’re an asset and that you’re AWESOME, but they can’t really pinpoint why… so they don’t know how to leverage or compensate you properly. (Hint: If you’re confused about what you bring to the table, everyone else is too.) A strong and authentic personal brand mitigates these hurdles that prevent you from attracting or creating the opportunities you truly want. I love how this HBR article defines your personal brand: ➡ “Personal branding is an intentional, strategic practice in which you define and express your own value proposition.” And one final note that I feel VERY strongly about… Personal branding is not a way to manipulate perceptions about who you are. It’s a way to HONESTLY amplify the parts of you that you WANT to spotlight and leverage. Have you developed your personal brand yet? 🎨 #personalbrand #personalbranding #multipassionate #generalist #jackofalltrades

Helping CEO's and Coaches build their Personal Brand that attracts clients and inspires people | Personal Branding Strategist | Ghost writer
My client: Why do I need a Personal Brand when I have good marketing team? Le me: It's as different as a black coffee and milk coffee. My client: Huh? Your personal brand, much like black coffee, represents your raw, undiluted value. Your marketing team, like milk coffee, helps smooth distribute that value to your audience, promoting your products or services. While your marketing team is crucial in amplifying your business's voice, your personal brand is your own authentic voice. When these two voices come together, they create a robust melody that can attract your audience. So, whether you're a black coffee devotee or a milk coffee lover, it's evident that a personal brand is the secret recipe for success. It's time to brew your unique brand and let your distinct flavor invade the market. P.S. Are you team hot coffee or team cold coffee?

A strong personal brand is like a warm intro on steroids. I can't tell you how many times I have sat with professional peers, potential clients, or future employees, and have been greeted with a warm smile and a "I follow you on LinkedIn!” From the get-go, these meetings have a vastly different flavor to the ones where we start fresh. When you share your insights, your experiences, even get vulnerable from time to time, you don't only remain top-of-mind, you warm yourself into people’s psyches. They no longer feel like they are meeting you for the first time, because they already follow your journey, know your achievements, appreciate your skills, and (if you brand yourself well) have glimpsed at your struggles too. Of course, as a brand consultant and writer, my posts act as pre-emptive samples- a testimony to what I bring to the table. But there is something *much* deeper to the power of branding for all professional walks of life, whether your goal is attracting talent, enhancing deal-flow, closing a sale. When you put yourself out there, people naturally meet you halfway, and it makes ALL the difference. I’ll be sharing more insights on the HOW in the coming weeks. (And more pictures of me being a professional 🤓)

Your personal brand is not just important, it's your responsibility. Waiting until you realize you need a personal brand is a recipe for resentment. But it's not your company, your kids, your spouse, your friends, or anyone else that can speak to what you have to offer. You need to know that yourself and stay confident and humble in it. Another huge benefit in investing time and energy into others and setting that reputation for yourself is that work is never for nothing. People know they can depend on you when you've put the work into being dependable and setting that track record. People can TRY but they can't damage your reputation if you have a strong one.

"For better or worse, in today’s world everyone is a brand. Whether you’re applying for a job, asking for a promotion, or writing a dating profile, your success will depend on getting others to recognize your value. So you need to get comfortable marketing yourself." I don't talk about personal branding much but yesterday's interview on Automation Ladies with Linda Freeman and Alicia Gilpin (Ali G) brought up a good point - we are all selling and marketing whether we like it or not. This HBR article on "A New Approach to Building your Personal Brand" can probably teach you more than I can by giving a 7 step framework. (1) Define your purpose by exploring your mission, passion, and strengths, and thinking about whom you want to make a difference to and how. To be clear I have never followed any kind of process or framework - I just do me which is kind of why I can't tell you how to do you. Our friend Chris Luecke from Manufacturing Happy Hour is also putting out great content on personal brand building, make sure to follow him if you aren't already. https://lnkd.in/g-ziT7xC
