Lights, camera, action!: 📽 In April, a new challenge was waiting for me, as I joined the editorial team full-on, and was now part of our interview section. In less than a week I had to learn how to connect professional microphones (SM7B, MVL 3.5, etc.) and set up a small interview recording set. Not only did I know nothing (really nothing) about this, but interviews happen faster than I naively thought.  Setup and teardown happen in seconds, and the pressure of the moment was not easy for me to deal with. In the first few interviews, there were areas of opportunity, but for the ones that came up, we improved. I now have new knowledge and not just the hard skills of knowing how to handle the applications or assembly. But those soft skills now allow me to work under more pressure, present myself as a medium, and enjoy the process.
