Do your rooms come with equipment? Our rooms come with a pa and microphones as standard, but if you need guitar amps or drum kits, then there's an extra charge for them. So why do we charge for our equipment hire? The reason that we charge for the equipment is two fold. Firstly, we're on the ground floor with great load in access and so people generally enjoy being able to bring their own equipment and use it at an angry volume. This becomes tricky if you've got a room full of equipment already in place. Secondly, we don't want to charge you for something that you don't use. If you book a room and the equipment is already in there, then you're paying for the equipment within your room hire fee. We think people should only pay for what they use, so each item is hired separately. The hire fee is minimal (£1 - 2.50 per item per hour) and that hire fee goes towards the maintenance of the equipment. We service our amps regularly and change the drum kit heads at least once - if not twice - a year depending on usage. This can all quickly add up cost-wise, but we want to keep this going so that you guys get good quality equipment to use if and when you need to use it. We've all been to those rehearsal rooms that have free equipment in them and it's almost always completely tras...

Quiet work pods are often influenced by their appearance in terms of their functionality. When choosing soundproof pods, many people tend to focus more on price rather than value for money. Most of the time, we would compare products from different suppliers. So what are the specific factors that affect the price of soundproof pods? And how do we choose a suitable manufacturer for soundproof pods? https://smpl.is/8i45j

Let’s dive into the fascinating world of caster brakes—specifically comparing wheel brakes and total locking brakes for those trusty Pegasus casters! 🛋️🔒 Wheel Brakes: Function: Wheel brakes do exactly what their name suggests: they stop the wheel from rotating. When you engage a wheel brake, it puts the brakes on the wheel’s movement, preventing it from rolling. Application Example: Wheel brakes are handy when you want to keep your furniture or equipment stationary but still allow swiveling. Picture a chair—you might want it to stay put but still be able to turn around without lifting it entirely. Scenario: Imagine you’re rearranging your home office. You’ve got a sleek desk chair with Pegasus casters. Pop on the wheel brakes, and voilà! The chair stays in place while you spin around to grab that forgotten pen. 🪑🛑 Total Locking Brakes: Function: Total locking brakes take things up a notch. Not only do they stop the wheel from rolling, but they also lock the entire swivel mechanism. It’s like a double lockdown—both wheel and swivel are secured simultaneously. Application Example: Total locking brakes are perfect when stability is non-negotiable. Think about hospital beds, stretchers, or heavy equipment. You want them rock-solid, no wiggling allowed! Scenario: Imagine you’re a nurse moving a patient on a stretcher. Pegasus casters with total locking brakes ensure that the stretcher stays put during the transfer. Safety first! 🚑🔒 So, in summary: Wheel Brakes: Stops the wheel but allows swiveling. 🛑 Total Locking Brakes: Stops the wheel AND locks the swivel—double security! 🛑🚫 Remember, whether you’re gliding smoothly or putting the brakes on, Pegasus casters have your back! 🌟 👉 Contact us today for pricing, delivery and technical questions - info@pegasuscasters.com! #WheelBrake #TotalLock #TotalLockBrake #Casters #MaterialHandling #PegasusCasters

In praise of British design and manufacture (and repair)... Anyone who knows me will know my workspace is pretty minimalist, but I do like to surround myself with practical and well designed things (my bike also lives in the same room). Unfortunately my Minirigs 'legacy' speaker recently stopped charging, after about 7 years of almost constant use. Around about the same time it appeared my 6 month old Exposure Lights was not even lasting a 2 hour ride when fully charged, on the lowest setting. Cue contacting customer services from both companies and sending back my products to see what could be done... I didn't hold out much hope for the speaker, given it's age but £12 later and it arrived back from Bristol in less than 2 weeks fully working and with new charging and audio cables. Similarly, the light is back in a similar timeframe, ready and holding its charge for the clock change, with a note saying 'firmware update'. It might cost a little more but if you can afford it, in the run up to Black Friday, Christmas, etc. here's a little reminder to buy British (manufactured). It... 👉 Supports the local economy 👉 Keeps UK skilled people in work 👉 Reduces transport costs/environmental impact 👉 Is likely repairable (in this country) for little to no cost Preach out. What do you have in your workspace that is made in the UK? #branding #britishmanufacture

How are you all getting on with your entries? Even though we can't win, we've got to share our entry to #thebrieflessbrief - we didn't want to miss out on the fun ourselves 😀 From the Evoluted | Certified B Corp™ PR team: Introducing The North Face's "CommuteClasp" – Your ticket to germ-free underground commuting! You’re bustling through the tube, dodging other commuters like a pro, but the thought of touching those germ ridden poles sends shivers down your spine. 2023 research shows 46% take a longer or more costly commute in favour of it being more hygienic. 79% will also deliberately avoid holding on to handrails when on a bus, train or tube. Fear not, The North Face brand already boasts the height of functionality and style, and now they’re taking it one step further for London commuters… The new “CommuteClasp” is available as an add-on for all North Face jackets. It’s an ingenious clasp system to effortlessly attach to any tube or bus pole, keeping your hands free from germs. Seamlessly integrated into the jacket's design, it allows you to easily pop the CommuteClasp out, attach, and detach it to any pole on the Underground. When you need to hop off at your stop the CommuteClasp retracts discreetly back into your jacket. Now there’s no more awkward contortions to avoid touching handrails, or falling into a fellow commuter because you’ve tried to balance without. Laura Rowley Victoria Collins

Is your air compressor too loud? Here are six simple ways to make it quieter and create a more peaceful workspace: 1. Put it in a Soundproof Box One of the best ways to reduce the noise is to put the air compressor in a soundproof box or cabinet. These boxes are made to absorb noise, making things much quieter. Just make sure the box has some ventilation so the compressor doesn’t overheat. 2. Use Vibration Pads Air compressors create vibrations that make noise. Putting vibration pads or rubber mats under the compressor can help absorb these vibrations and reduce the noise. These pads are made of materials that dampen the vibrations and make the compressor quieter. 3. Regular Maintenance Keep your compressor in good shape by maintaining it regularly. Lubricate the moving parts, tighten any loose bolts or screws, and replace worn-out parts. A well-maintained compressor will run more smoothly and quietly. 4. Upgrade to a Quieter Model If your current compressor is too loud, consider getting a newer, quieter model. Modern compressors are designed to be quieter, with better motors, insulation, and noise-dampening features. Look for a model that’s known for being quiet. 5. Move the Compressor If possible, move the compressor to a place where the noise won’t bother anyone. This could be a different room, the basement, or even outside. Just make sure the new spot has good ventilation and is protected from the weather if it’s outside. 6. Add Mufflers or Silencers You can attach mufflers or silencers to the compressor’s intake and exhaust to reduce noise. These devices help dampen the sound that the compressor makes when taking in and releasing air. Check with the manufacturer to find the right ones for your compressor. By following these tips, you can enjoy the benefits of your air compressor without all the noise. Happy compressing! #AirCompressor #NoiseReduction #DIY #WorkshopTips #HomeImprovement #ToolTips #Soundproofing #MaintenanceTips #Upgradecompressor #PeacefulWorkplace #VibrationControl #CompressorCare #penryair

Is there anything more adult than having your routine furnace maintenance turn into a "red tagging?" To be fair, I kinda knew it was coming. But I want to take this opportunity to share what I love about Air Mechanical Inc. I've been in the client service business my entire life from grocery stories, gas stations, rec center, gyms and now my own business and I respect good service and I become a repeat customer. (they have replaced my water heater, toilet, air conditioner and now furnace) ✅ Their scheduling can be done automatically on their website or you can call. ✅ If you need a special time, they will work to make that happen. ✅ The tech calls when they are 15 mins away AND they send a picture of the tech via text message with their information. (which being a female alone at home, is important to me for safety purposes). ✅ They are professional, tell you exactly what is wrong and don't try to oversell you (in my experience). ✅ Their process from tech, sales person to install is always smooth and fast. ✅ Their started a membership program which has helped me to remember my maintenance appointments and get my appliances serviced. ✅ Everyone is nice and personable. Shout out to Ian who showed up and said "I've been to your house before, you have gymnastics stuff on your ceiling." Yes, yes we do (we have a pull up type rig on our ceiling). Even though he delivered bad news, we had great conversation and I trust his recommendation. I like to think about the way other companies do business in order to inspire me in my business. They have a great customer booking system, smooth and thorough day of service communication and bottom line - they do a good job.
