August 16th Is National Backflow Prevention Day! On this day we honor all the professionals who install, test, and maintain backflow prevention assemblies and cross connections here in our local communities and around the world. A backflow prevention device works to protect potable water from contamination or pollution due to backflow (when water travels in the opposite direction). In other words, this device allows water to travel only in one direction, keeping harmful chemicals, toxins, waste, and other contaminants out of our water supply! We'd like to express our gratitude to these professionals for maintaining our water supply safe & clean! 💧✅
