This image taken from this morning’s RNS shows the holes from Hillside Prospects 2 & 3. It’s an important one. The red histograms show the extent of gold mineralisation throughout both holes. The background shows the IP results, indicating broad zones of chargeability possibly associated with the observed and logged sulphide mineralisation in both holes. From this, we can take away two key points: 1) Our IP surveys seem to be reliably showing zones of chargeability, which in the two holes drilled are associated with shears hosting sulphides; and 2) The sulphides in these two holes appear to be associated with broad zones of gold mineralisation, some of which are high-grade lodes, currently targeted by the artisanal miners. Xanadu Mines Ltd #exploration team recently encountered high-grade shallow mineralisation warranting near term follow-up, at the 100% owned Red Mountain #copper #gold project. A highlight of the discovery-focused program was maiden #drilling (comprising three diamond drill holes) at Nowie, which uncovered intervals of high-grade copper sulphide lode mineralisation: • 8m @ 1% Cu, 0.12g/t Au from 267m (OUDDH134) • 14m @ 0.75% Cu, 0.26g/t Au from 113m (OUDDH136) Interestingly, OUDDH134 also encountered a much broader interval of outcropping copper-gold porphyry stockwork mineralisation: • 120m @ 0.14%, 0.12g/t Au from 1m, • including 45m @ 0.27% Cu, 0.15g/t Au from 139m Encouragingly, these results demonstrate both the grade and scale opportunities that lie ahead for Nowie. As a result of exceptional first diamond #drilling assay results, previously reported exploration results, and excellent ionic adsorption testwork recoveries, Alvo Minerals Ltd has exercised the purchase option over 100% of the Bluebush Ionic Adsorption Clay #REE Project. The first diamond drill hole BLD004 returned a broad intercept of 34m at 1,090ppm TREO (24% MREO) from surface (0.5m), containing shallow, high-grade intervals. This result reflects grades similar to the neighbouring Serra Verde IAC deposit and confirms #ALV’s strong view that the area has the potential to host deposits of ionic clay-hosted rare earths. QMines Limited (ASX:QML) executive chairman Andrew Sparke joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss the identification of high-grade #gold rock chip samples from historical data at the Mt Chalmers project. The bonanza samples were found in the Cawarral and Mt Wheeler Goldfields, approximately 6 kilometres northeast of the historical Mt Chalmers #copper and gold mine. Notable rock chip sample grades include 256 g/t, 157 g/t, 89.4 g/t, 80.95 g/t, and 156 g/t gold. Historical production figures from small-scale mines in the area include 2,973 ounces at 62 g/t gold from Galawa Mine, 9,098 ounces at 37 g/t from Annie Mine and 3,900 ounces at 42 g/t from Last Chance Mine. Canstar's Golden Baie Project is located 89 km southwest of the past-producing Chinese-owned Beaver Brook Antimony ("Sb") Mine, which hosted a 2.2-million-tonne deposit grading 3.99% Sb at 1.5% cutoff (Sandeman et. al., 2018). In addition to Golden Baie's extensive gold anomalies—including over 315 bedrock samples with more than 1 g/t gold, and till samples with up to 1,049 gold grains—it also features multiple high-grade* antimony anomalies at the Swanger's Cove and Le Pouvoir prospects with bedrock and channel samples assaying between 20.4% and 74.4% Sb https://lnkd.in/gA4i-NPQ

National Public Radio (NPR) in the US authored an article this week on the potential global impact on semiconductor and solar panel production. Pure quartz crystals are a crucial ingredient in these production processes, and Spruce Pine is one of the few places on the planet known to possess high-quality quartz. Interestingly, ownership of these mining operations is outside the United States, with Quartz Corp, a Joint Venture between Imerys S.A. (France), Norsk Mineral AS (Norway), and SCR Sibelco NV (Belgium). Crushed quartz from the SCR Sibelco mines also provides the 'Sand' found in the bunkers at Augusta National Golf Course, home of the Masters. Electrum Discovery's new European significant copper-gold anomaly only five kilometres east of a world class copper-gold porphyry mine on the Western Tethyan Belt. The anomaly, named ‘Bambino’, measures up to 550 meters in length and over 100 meters in width and remains open in all directions, with copper in soils ranging from 500 – 8238 ppm copper and rock chip samples returning grades of 2.85% and 0.32% copper. Electrum Discovery is also expanding its precious metal resources. So far the inferred resources are 670,000oz gold equivalent.
