During my time at UNESCO, I was fortunate to connect with the UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Coalition, which is a humanities-driven transdisciplinary sustainability science coalition that promotes meaningful collaboration across various academic fields—arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Given my #passion for #bridging #knowledge gaps, I took the opportunity to get more involved and had the opportunity to work closely together with Steven Hartman on top of my internship. And now, I’m excited to share some wonderful news: After a long application process, UNESCO-MOST BRIDGES Coalition will be hosting a 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬! From September 22nd to 23rd, world leaders will come together at the United Nations in New York to discuss how we can create a better present and safeguard our future. This summit provides a unique chance to restore trust in #global cooperation and demonstrate that working together across borders can truly make a difference. The goal of the summit is to adopt the 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, which includes the 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 and a 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. Also, leaders will discuss the process of the SDG goals, which are significantly off track and in urgent need of attention. The summit’s main objectives are to: ➡ Accelerate progress on our existing international commitments. ➡Tackle emerging challenges and seize new opportunities. A few months ago, I never imagined I'd have the opportunity to be part of such a significant event.
