💬 Let’s talk about Internships Internships serve as essential stepping stones for learners embarking on their career journeys, offering a myriad of benefits for both individuals and organizations alike. For interns, these opportunities provide hands-on experience, skill development, networking opportunities, and career exploration. For organizations, interns bring unique perspectives, skills, and insights that can enrich teams and contribute to innovation within organizations. We are committed to increasing the participation of First Nations in the tech sector, which is why our newly Indigenous-Designed Career Services division’s goal is to place 20 Indigenous interns in 2024. ⬇️ For those with internship experience, what’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned as an intern or intern supervisor? Exposure to various career opportunities within sectors. Allowing me to challenge my self, build confidence but most importantly to find out additional strengths, skills and knowledge with in myself. Also share my gifts and wisdom as an Indigneous women to those I’m working with. Internships should be provided to as many Indigneous youth 15+ to provide them the same opportunities.
