#VantageOnFirstpost Can Macron Bring Peace Back to Riot-hit New Caledonia? | Vantage with Palki Sharma French President Emmanuel Macron said that more talks were needed on proposed voting reforms that triggered over a week of deadly riots in New Caledonia, as he made a high-stakes visit to the French Pacific territory in a bid to ease tensions. Since May 13, looting, arson and clashes have left six people dead and hundreds injured. The unrest erupted over a French voting reform plan that indigenous Kanaks say will dilute their voice. New Caledonia has been ruled from Paris since the 1800s, but many indigenous Kanaks still resent France's power over their islands. Can Macron restore peace to the French territory? Palki Sharma tells you. --- New Caledonia | Riots | French President | Emmanuel Macron | Violence | France | Firstpost | World News | Vantage | Palki Sharma #newcaledonia #macron #riots #emmanuelmacron #clashes #france #firstpost #vantageonfirstpost #palkisharma #worldnews

The victory of the nationalist parties in the European parliamentary elections shows that the nations under the rule of the stateless leftists are returning to their origins. After the end of the Second World War, the leftist parties, which have taken over the world with capitalist forces and distanced the world from patriotism and nationalism, have made Europe the destination of immigrants without origins and the Middle East the base of their terrorists. By destroying the patriotic rulers and appointing their spies and bribe takers, they have colonized the countries in the form of modern slavery and have also cleansed the land of Europe from the sense of patriotism and originalism. Anywhere in the world, when a nationalist party begins to operate, they use the label of the extreme right against it to create a dirty atmosphere in the media to deceive the nations as they did in the past 70 years...

Friends in Europe. This video is a powerful reminder from Sakharov winners on the importance of your vote in this coming #EUelection2024. Quoting Leonid Volkov from Team Navalny: "An election is a huge privilege. A privilege worth fighting for and sacrificing for. Use your vote for those who cannot." There is a real danger of Europe moving away from #HumanRights, #GenderEquality and #ClimateChange commitments. So lets use our votes wisely for better and more equal Europe.

📝Few national contexts offer a more alarming picture of Russian malign foreign interference than what is currently happening in Moldova. As the country readies for critical elections on October 20, it also faces a barrage of Russian hybrid attacks of remarkable scale and intensity against its democratic core and European future. The stakes for enduring and defending against this interference onslaught could not be higher for the country and Europe as a whole. EU after European Elections I was delighted to comment on the #European election results for the Polish TVP WORLD. Here are the main points: - as predicted the elections have not fundamentally altered the pro-European consensus in the European Parliament - the #Eurosceptic parties have scored some gains but they are disunited in the Parliament - the biggest losers are the centrists liberals from Renew Europe and the THE EUROPEAN GREEN PARTY/EHE EUROPEAN GREENS - In Poland pro-European party of Prime Minister Tusk scores a marginal victory but the election confirms that Poland is a very spit country - In Hungary: 30% support for the new Tisha party may herald the end of Fides's monopoly on power. https://lnkd.in/d3QSEhzw

Not just another week. It is a time to reflect on our shared history and celebrate our democratic values. Today, June 5th marks 175 years since the adoption of the first Danish constitution, a milestone in the continuous journey towards democracy and freedom. 🇩🇰 Tomorrow, June 6th, we honor the bravery of those who fought on D-Day, 80 years ago. Their sacrifices laid the foundation for the peace and unity we strive to uphold in Europe today - and remind us of the importance of a strong transatlantic bond 🇫🇷🇬🇧🇺🇸 Finally, European elections remind us of the power of our collective voice - and bring opportunity to strengthen our union and reaffirm our commitment to a united, democratic Europe. 🇪🇺 Meanwhile, current threats to democracy, including aggression from Russia and the rise of political extremism, make it even more crucial for us to fight for our democratic values. Our vote is a powerful tool in safeguarding our freedoms and shaping a resilient, united Europe. Vote - or somebody else will decide for you!🗳️ #EUelections #UseYourVote
