Our voices have the POWER 🦸🏻♀️🦸🏽 In times of crisis and war, as well as in our everyday lives, it is crucial to make our voices and values heard. By speaking up, we not only advocate for justice but also contribute to creating a community where everyone feels valued and respected. Silence can often be interpreted as acceptance, so it's important to choose our words wisely and use them to promote understanding and positive change. Whether it's through small daily interactions or larger societal movements- **our voices have the power to shape a better world** So when the moment comes to choose > speak up (!) and make a difference.

A beautiful talk by Kathy Coffey! In a world rich with diversity, the true beauty of our humanity is reflected through the vibrant tapestry of our communities. Each unique individual, adds strength and depth, weaving together stories of struggle and success, of dreams and resilience. Representation matters profoundly because it says to every person, “You are seen, you are valuable, and your voice matters.” It empowers people to step forward, not just to claim their space, but to shape the world. https://lnkd.in/g3kw4AY9

It’s better to look ahead and prepare than look back and regret. You either spend your life preparing for what’s to come, or you spend your life regretting what you didn’t do. Your success begins with your preparation!
In a world where people are quick to judge one another, it is important to remember the value of understanding. Rather than jumping to conclusions based on our own biases and assumptions, We should strive to approach others with empathy and an open mind. By seeking to understand those around us, we can create a more compassionate and connected society.

Why Asile Strategies? 🌟 I love systems. Not all of them, of course, but I have a deep appreciation for how systems are designed. I've worked with faith-based institutions, neighborhood groups, grassroots organizers, and more. I believe that effective strategy is about understanding systems and seeing yourself as one of the little pieces that make up the larger system at play. 🌟 I believe that we are the freedom we wish to seek. It’s easy to “be the change we wish to see” in theory, but practice requires an intentional, strategic roadmap. My approach to strategy is creative, imaginative, and fun -- just like freedom should feel. 🌟 I am inspired by the radical optimism of my ancestors. If Harriet Tubman, Madam CJ Walker, my grandmother (anne anne in Turkish), and countless others had the audacity to dream big and advocate for the world they wanted to live in against insurmountable odds, why can’t we?! 🌟 I help you feel confident in your big vision for justice. With my expertise in racial justice, advocacy, systemic change, and wellness, I create customized facilitation packages tailored to your team’s needs. You will walk away from our collaboration sessions feeling inspired, equipped, and ready to make a sustainable impact in your organization and beyond. 🌟 I don’t just talk the talk. My blog, The Sankofa Series (https://lnkd.in/eNAjvYPK) is my playground to unpack my perspective on freedom and systemic change as I learn and grow in real time. I am always a student of the work, and I encourage you to follow along as I bravely share my learnings, curiosities, and experiences in public. Ready for transformation? We are currently available for bookings. Send me a PM to schedule a consultation. Speaking up for those who need a voice in uncertain times! In this impactful discussion, Nathan Todd uses his platform to advocate for the invisible members of society who are often forgotten - those unable to speak for themselves due to disability or circumstance. He shares his personal experiences navigating an ableist world and finding purpose through helping others. Nathan discusses the importance of being an ally for the voiceless and raising awareness of very real issues affecting people we may not see. Through open dialogue on challenging topics, he encourages listeners to broaden their perspectives and consider those marginalized by lack of accessibility or understanding. In uncertain times, Nathan stresses the need to come together across perceived differences and lift up communities left unseen.

What does it mean to be an ally in today's environment? It may be more than you think. You don't need to identify as part of the community you stand by, you just need to show your support and help leverage the voices of those in said communities. During this Pride Month, hear what three self-identified Zebra allies say goes into allyship, what efforts can be done, and how to make sure your actions are in line with your words. https://lnkd.in/eTF57Jwk
