You are prooobably doing the Dumbbell Chest Press wrong… But if you watch this video, I’ll show you how to fix that. How Long Should You Rest Between Sets? The answer for most people is longer than you are right now… Contrary to popular belief, the time between your sets isn’t for checking your phone, or looking at your gym crush. The point of resting between your sets is to allow your body to REST and RECOVER. So when you’re not resting long enough between sets, you’re actually not able to move as much weight OR do as many reps. And studies have shown that people who rest less between sets actually build less muscle than people who rest longer between sets. Now, I’m not saying you need to take 5 minutes between your sets. But at LEAST 1.5 to 3 minutes at the top end will put you in a great spot. So make sure you’re resting for long enough between your sets!
