The Group specializes in developing land for lease with in its own property portfolio of over 10,000 acres of which circa 2,000 acres has planning consent for the renewable sector with associated associated buildings, the remainder is to be promoted - and has a blue-chip client base across a range of business activities.
Able Humber Port (AHP) has planning consent for Europe's largest new port development and is situated on the South Bank of the Humber Estuary, East Coast of the UK. The Humber has been described as the Energy Estuary and in recent years it has been the UK’s fastest growing port and logistics centre.
AHP, potentially Europe’s largest new port development providing an exciting proposal for the burgeoning marine renewable energy sector; this includes Able Energy Park (AEP) providing an additional c. 1,000 acres of hinterland development to support a wide variety of port centric logistics functions.
The UK Government has identified AHP as a strategic location in the National Renewable Infrastructure Plan and has confirmed AHP as a member of the Humber Freeport Zone.
Able Seaton Port (ASP) is located in the centre of the UK on the North East Coast close to the mouth of the River Tees and covers 51 hectares (126 acres) including a 10 hectare (25 acre) dry dock (currently wet) – one of the world’s largest.
It is capable of handling all types of offshore construction vessels, has significant crane capacity and quays, which have been constructed
Quays 10 & 11 are some of the strongest in Europe at 306m long and are designed with a quay loading capacity of 40T/m² with a heavy load-out pad area capable of 60T/m².
There are three additional ports and quays at Teesside Able Billingham Reach, Able Clarence Port and Able Middlesbrough Port.
