How inclusion fuels innovation? Today I will show you this using Mariotta as an example. He has discovered the recipe for success 💯 It’s called DE&I - an acronym for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. It's the idea of promoting and supporting diversity in the workplace. And the best part? This idea yields tangible, very positive results! A representative from Marriott emphasizes that it’s about more than just hiring people from various cultures and social groups 🚀 It’s also about providing them with access to career development, education, and flexible working hours, which is especially important for parents and individuals with disabilities. An inclusive environment translates into a good atmosphere within the company. It fosters trust, respect, and cohesive teams 🔥 This approach also leads to fewer prejudices among employees and more innovations. Check out the linked article to learn more about Marriott's strategy 🔎 #success #DEI #ESG #eco #inclusion #diversity #empowerment #equity

**A Glimpse into Our Inclusive Workplace** Diversity isn't just a checkbox for us in an international cruise line; it's the beating heart that infuses our workplace with vitality and brilliance. With representation from 60+ nationalities on any big cruise line, varied religions and LGBT employees, our work environments are designed to be accepting of all. At our core, we believe that true diversity is not just about representation but about embracing the kaleidoscope of voices, perspectives, and experiences that make us stronger together. In our journey towards inclusivity, we've fostered a culture where every individual is not only welcomed but celebrated for their uniqueness. It's a space where authenticity thrives, curiosity is encouraged, and respect forms the foundation of our interactions. I've witnessed firsthand how this celebration of diversity transcends beyond mere demographics. It fuels creativity, sparks innovation, and cultivates a sense of unity among team members from all walks of life. Each day, I'm reminded of the transformative power of inclusivity in shaping a workplace where everyone feels valued, understood, and empowered to bring their whole selves to the table. From meaningful dialogues to intentional initiatives, we're committed to creating an environment where diversity isn't just a buzzword but a lived reality. It's a journey that requires continuous learning, active listening, and a shared dedication to fostering a community where differences are not just accepted but embraced as pillars of strength. So here's to our inclusive workplace – a place where diversity isn't a challenge but an opportunity, where inclusion isn't a goal but a way of life. Together, let's continue to weave the intricate tapestry of diversity that colors our work culture with beauty, richness, and boundless possibilities. 🌟🌈 #DEI #DiversityInclusion #DiversityEquityandInclusion #EmbracingDiversity #HRInsighgs #HumanResources #Employees #WorkplaceCulture #OrganizationalCulture #MondayMotivation (Photo for representational purposes only)

Embracing Diversity: Why Pride Month Matters in the Workplace As we deck our virtual halls with rainbow logos and banners, it's crucial to remember that Pride Month is more than just a colorful celebration—it's a powerful reminder of the ongoing journey toward inclusivity and acceptance in the workplace. Beyond the vibrant colours, Pride Month serves as a mean to foster a culture of respect, understanding, and support for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. It's about creating a safe and affirming space where everyone can bring their whole selves to work without fear of discrimination or judgment. Inclusive workplaces aren't just a nicety—they're a necessity. Studies consistently show that diverse teams are more innovative, creative, and ultimately more successful. By embracing Pride Month, we affirm our commitment to diversity and recognize the invaluable contributions of our 2SLGBTQIA+ colleagues. However, let's not stop at rainbow logos and token gestures. True inclusivity requires ongoing effort and a willingness to listen, learn, and take meaningful action. It's about actively taking down barriers and supporting marginalized voices within our organizations. So this Pride Month, let's go beyond the surface and engage in conversations that matter. Let's champion diversity, cultivate empathy, and strive to create workplaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive future for all. #PrideMonth #Inclusion #Diversity #WorkplaceEquality ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) Pride at Work Canada / Fierté au travail Canada

A little slow to post as my busy week takes hold, however its never to late to share… 🙏🏼 National Inclusion Week runs from the 23rd - 29th September and for 2024 the theme is #Impactmatters … Founded by ‘Inclusive Employers’, National Inclusion Week (NIW) is a week dedicated to celebrating inclusion and taking action to create inclusive workplaces… Each one of us holds the potential to make a profound and positive impact…. ‘Impact Matters’ has a powerful message that centres around understanding, identifying and measuring impact on marginalised groups and taking actions that make for genuine, sustainable change ……that matters…. In a world where reading an incredibly insightful and congruent book called ‘Invisible Women’ penned by Caroline Criado Perez around the worlds non inclusive design and media stories where humans with difference are still being dismissed for jobs they can clearly do. Stories where gender differences are met with hate or distain …Where our humans of colour find themselves without the daily facilities required to stay connected to their belief systems, heritage and culture …. Lets not only raise awareness of the beauty and power of an inclusive world, lets start challenging, changing and compassionately educating our work spaces in the areas of transformation and improvement… Organisations embarking on Inclusive transformation are benefiting from a rise not only in performance but employee retention… keeping their powerful and creative minds continually moving them forwards through tough markets … Each one of us holds the potential to make a profound and positive impact…. Impact Matters … Do you work for an inclusive employer … Share the positive Inclusion developments you have experienced or made … 🙏🏼🦋 #humanimpact #progressiveworkspaces #progressivehumans #justbeingmyownhuman

We pride ourselves on bringing inclusion to the workplace. It’s something that we hold in high regard. At Lodge Service, we believe inclusivity should be the norm for every single employer but understand that, sadly, it isn’t. In the UK, this week is National Inclusion Week with the global theme this year being Cultural Intelligence: Inclusion Across Cultures. Creating a safe, diverse, and inclusive workplace has been part of our mission and company ethos for a long time but we want to see this across the board, in all fields and all sectors, not just our own. So, this week, we want to encourage all employers to take active strides forward in creating workplaces where everyone can feel appreciated, included, and secure and have opportunities for professional development and growth. We would love to hear how you’re making a more inclusive environment in your workplace. What steps have been taken in your company or sector to ensure everyone feels included at work? Let us know in the comments below 👇 #nationalinclusionweek2024 #inclusiveworkplaces #makeanimpact #securitysector #uksecurity #diversityandinclusion #lodgeservice
