Building a multi-unit franchise empire + helping others do the same

This guy built a $10M/year flooring business Jeff is the owner of the #1 Floor Coverings International franchisee in the country He’s scaled to +$10M/sales year across multiple markets It’s not luck — it’s a repeatable playbook Here's his strategy (that anyone can follow): 𝟭) 𝗚𝗲𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘆 Jeff wore every hat when he launched the business. He sold the jobs, unloaded the trucks, & helped the installers when needed Many people mistakenly think they can run a business from behind their computer Going shoulder-to-shoulder is how you learn the business, build respect, & grow much faster 𝟮) 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 I met a subcontractor who’s worked with him for over 12 years. Multiple employees 10+ years The trust he’s established with his team has provided great stability 𝟯) 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 He built the entire business on referrals. He goes out of his way to recommend other contractors knowing it’ll eventually return to him He does $500,000 per year with a single builder that was a referral 𝟰) 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗲 Jeff had zero flooring experience when he started. He bought a single territory of a franchise which put him in the fast lane The franchise also allowed him to grow quickly by acquiring neighboring territories He also bought Vermont which produces over $3M+ per year. Today he only visits it 3-4 times per year 𝟱) 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Most people think all franchises are extremely restrictive. That’s not the case in service-based franchises You can build your business any way you want, as long as you stay within the guardrails of the franchise He brought the “mobile showroom” concept to the franchise. He set up a paint booth in his warehouse to paint trim before it’s installed. He buys inventory at huge discounts from manufacturers 𝟲) “𝗪𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆” He views his calendar like a hotel. Once the day passes, the income is gone. He pushes his team to start jobs ASAP, even if the schedule looks full — they figure it out If a job gets delayed, he calls customers scheduled later in the week to move them up Massive sense of urgency is a common trait I see in many successful people 𝟳) 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗳𝗳 What’s the point of making money if you don’t enjoy it? He’s got a collection of sports cars, goes on first-class trips around the world, and has a blast every day These are the rewards of putting in years of hard work — This is my first “behind the scenes” showing how people like Jeff build multi-million dollar businesses through franchising If you want to learn more about franchising, follow me Brian Beers
