Our CLI is getting lots of love 🧡 We love our CLI, and even though it is already great, we want to polish it just that little bit extra whenever we get the chance ✨ The latest enhancement we’ve made is adding a reset adapter command. This feature allows you to replay your data into your system at any point in time from the CLI. So whenever you need to adjust your existing transformations, you simply adjust and press replay. The data is then loaded from your set time period and passed through your adjusted transformer 😎 If you haven’t tried out our CLI yet, there’s never a better time than now to do so 👀 Are there any upgrades you are hoping to see in future versions of our CLI? 🤔 We’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback 🙌

Well, waking up at 3am sucks 😴 ... especially if it is not needed... ☕ What can solve those issues can be described in one word: #context For sure, there is a bit more 😀 so I recommend reading our latest post from Dash0. What's your take on that and how do you solve those issues 😀 ? #opentelemetry
𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐭 3𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐱 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 Likely, it can wait until the 3rd coffee tomorrow. But to know that, your telemetry needs to be consistently annotated with which environment it is coming from (e.g., “dev”, “qa”, “prod-eu1”). And that’s more that you need to know about 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐂𝐇 systems produce which telemetry. 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 are they running? 𝐖𝐇𝐎 is responsible for them and has the expertise to troubleshoot? 𝐖𝐇𝐘 is the system important? (Which use-cases or functionalities does it power?) #opentelemetry

Some of you know me from back in my a cappella days. I haven't sang like that "For The Longest Time", but I shared some of the greatest hits (and greatest whiffs) in my latest blog post on Mux! Error categorization - our Data product's latest feature - gives you more info, power, and control over error reporting in your QoE metrics. Read about it and change your tune on what failure means to you! https://lnkd.in/dzuhGh9V

Everything that you store has a cost associated with it. As your costs rise and the application matures, it's important to strategize on how you delete redundant and less useful data. One interesting technique is to migrate historical records from your active database to cold storage (a lower tier, cost effective storage solution). Learn more about various data deletion practices and strategies in today's episode of Techflix Daily (Link in comment). We also explore how Medium approached this problem as a case study.
