Recruiters, do you specialize? I hope the answer is yes. I specialize in Aerospace/Defense Industry when those companies manufacture or build something. That is my niche, my sweet spot, my specialty. Do I deviate, yes but that is highly dependent on the situation. I spoke to a potential client today and this director said, they have such difficulty using agency recruiters because they do not have experience recruiting for their aerospace specialty. If I did not specialize, then I would not be able to differentiate myself from other agencies. Defence groups are looking to hire tens of thousands of people this year, according to an FT survey of 20 large and medium-sized US and European companies in the sector. Three of the largest US contractors -- Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and General Dynamics - have close to 6,000 job openings they need to fill, while 10 companies surveyed are seeking to increase positions by almost 37,000 in total, or almost 10% of their aggregate workforce. Where did time go? I hate the people hiding behind our justice department, claiming that they do not exist and that they have nothing to do with hacking my life and stealing away my chance"S" to live a happy and successful life for past 3 decades, over and over and over to the power of 10000000000! C160 Cargo hook was my first independent consultancy job back in 1989-1990, I recall the HR manager interview with me for the consulting job that they had posted on newspaper and I had responded to. Issue was that they had transferred C160 Cargo Hooks production from one plant to another, and after transfer everything being manufactured was being rejected by military, and they had tried for 2 years not fining the root cause. HR manager gave me a warning in the interview: You have 3 to 9 months to figure out what is wrong and how to solve it, if you are not done within 9 months you are out of here! I competed a thorough analysis for them, finding several issues, one of them being the major issue causing failure, within 2.5 months problems/solutions were identified, they paid me for 3 months and asked if I wanted a recommendation letter, and I responded "I believe that I will be OK, no recommendation letter will be required!
