𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 | 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 Today in our spotlight, we spotlight Kabre Lucie Kabore, President of the Association of Women in the Mining sector of Burkina Faso (AFEMIB). She holds a Higher Diploma in Secretariat (DSS), obtained in 2008 at the Higher Institute of Informatics and Management (ISIG) - Ouagadougou. Holder of a degree in Gender and Social Cohesion, obtained from the International Solidarity Unit of Geneva (USIG) online in 2023 and is enrolled in Master 1 gender and social cohesion. Ms. KABRE has more than 25 years of professional experience as an administrative assistant, also responsible for human resources management. She joined AFEMIB in 2014 where she held respectively the positions of community support technician, and secretary in charge of communications and currently, she is in her second term as president of AFEMIB, since May 30, 2020. She followed short training courses to strengthen her skills in human rights, gender, development, good governance environment, advocacy, and GBV. She works hard to mobilize resources for AFEMIB. To date, she has written and executed at least 10 community development projects to benefit women impacted by mining activity.
