Are you looking for a quick idea to upgrade your #resume? Try this tip from the proposal world. After spending this whole century specifically working with companies pursuing multi-billion dollar proposals, I’ve seen what works. This week I’m sharing tips that are as valid for landing your next job as they are for companies landing their next deal. After all, “winning the deal” is your main job search goal! Tip: Use your position description to relay your experience and successes, not just to describe the position. In the proposal world, the most powerful question is the simplest. “So what?” Use “So what?” to help you get more detail into your resume. The reviewer really doesn’t care about the position description of your job history. They care about how what you’ve done can help achieve company goals. Take time to review each of your positions and bullets with these questions in mind. So what makes my experience relevant to this job posting? So what makes me an ideal candidate for this job? Then convert the answers to resume bullets. #careercoaching #resumetips #proposalwriting #apmp Focusing On Results

How to update your resume in 30 minutes Did you just spot the perfect job advertisement that you absolutely must apply for? But your #resume hasn’t been updated in a few weeks! Fear not, because we have 6 tips to help you revamp your resume in just 30 minutes: 1. First of all, set a timer It is easy to get lost in the world of work experience and professional achievements and lose track of time. Therefore, we will set a timer to remind us of the passing time. 2. Give your attention to the essentials first Instead of spring-cleaning the entire #resume, we will first focus on the resume summary, career summary, key skills, and education sections. 3. Use action verbs for bullet points When rewriting your bullet points, start each bullet with an action verb. They make your #resume more compelling. 4. Use bullet points where you have used paragraphs Are there too many paragraphs on your #resume? Try to break them down into concise bullet points that describe the qualifications. 5. Customize your resume to the job description Now, it is time to work some keywords from the job description into the #resume summary, career summary, and skills sections. 6. Proofread your resume That was a lot of editing you just did in 30 minutes. Hence, you need to take at least five minutes and proofread the entire #resume to ensure there are no silly mistakes. #resume #jobsearch #job #jobs #career #cv #hiring #employment #resumetips #recruitment #interview #careers #resumewriter #jobseekers #nowhiring #resumewriting #work #jobhunt #recruiting #resumehelp #jobinterview #hr #business #resumeservices #jobsearching #jobseeker #humanresources #coverletter #jobopening #curriculumvitae #LinkedInNetworking #ProfessionalGrowth #CareerAdvancement #InMailStrategy #ClientAcquisition #CareerCoaching #PersonalBranding #NetworkingTips #CareerOpportunities #JobMarket #ProfessionalNetworking #CareerDevelopment #IndustryTrends #SkillDevelopment #EmploymentOpportunities #JobApplication #CareerConsulting #ProfessionalResume #ResumeAdvice #JobStrategy #HiringTrends #EmploymentStrategy #CareerSuccess #ResumeServicesProfessional

The resume you're using is keeping you from your dream job! The successful resumes I have reviewed have the following three things in common: 1. Be specific: describe what you actually did to acquire your experience, rather than just stating the experience. If your role went from a sales development representative to an account executive, identify the tasks/achievements that led to this. 2. Demonstrate the relevance of your experiences for the jobs you're applying to. Explain why the experience you've gained would make you a good fit for that position. 3. Above all else, keep it simple. Make sure your resume is as precise as possible. Being wordy does not equal being good. Remember, your resume is your first impression to a potential employer, so make it count. #resumewriting #careercoach #resume #resumetips #resumeservices #resumereview #resumehelp
