L’anthropomorphisme, un faux amour qui favorise certaines espèces.
La perte de biodiversité, le bien-être animal, le soin de la faune sauvage comme les hérissons, etc. nous touchent beaucoup. Sur les réseaux sociaux, nous sommes toutes et tous à nous préoccuper de la maltraitance animale. Mais ceci concerne principalement les chiens, les chats, les hérissons, les animaux de rente. Par contre, sans aucune hésitation, nous tuons des araignées, des reptiles, des amphibiens, des poissons, des chauves-souris. En voiture, nous nous arrêtons immédiatement, s’il y a un chat ou un hérisson. Mais pourquoi écrasons-nous sans aucune honte des amphibiens ou des escargots qui traversent la route ? Pourquoi sans aucune hésitation suspendons-nous dans nos jardins des trappes anti-abeilles alors qu’en
même temps, heureusement, il existe des plans d’action pour leur sauvegarde ? Et ici, je ne parle même pas des araignées (nos meilleures alliées contre les insectes) qui se font tuer en masse juste parce qu’elles ne sont pas très belles ! Pourquoi ces contradictions ? La réponse est simple : l’anthropomorphisme ! Dans notre monde du mignon, du chou, des selfies, etc. nous favorisons des espèces par rapport à d’autres, lesquelles sont vitales pour la planète. Ce que n’est pas du tout le chat, bien au contraire ! Non, non, non, je n’ai rien contre les chats : j’en ai moi-même quatre (et je ne devrais même pas le mentionner…). Nous tous et toutes pouvons facilement aider la biodiversité : nous pouvons réduire les lumières publiques de 75 % la nuit à partir de 23 h, nous pouvons facilement
contourner une route de migration des amphibiens (bravo à la ville de Pully qui le fait déjà) ; et il est très facile de faire pousser des plantes qui favorisent la croissance des abeilles. La protection des espèces ne se fait pas sur les réseaux sociaux, mais chez vous, toutes et tous, à la maison !
