What words do you hope your team members use to describe their experience with your organization? Through the highs and lows, a healthy company culture matters. Need help improving yours? Let's talk - connect@theconvoygroup.co
Today marks 2✌ years at Crumbl for me! 🎉 We joke that 2 years at Crumbl is like 10 years anywhere else, and I can definitely say it feels like I've had a decade's worth of growing and learning since my first day. The day I started at Crumbl, news of our litigation for trademark infringement broke and the "Cookie Wars" started (remember that?) and there has not been a slow day since! There's been highs and lows in every sense of the word: in sales, KPIs, morale, number of desserts eaten, etc, and not a day goes by that I don't count this job as one of my many blessings. My favorite part? I get to work with INCREDIBLE humans every single day. Not only super talented and smart people, but genuinely GOOD people, who make me laugh and smile and who make me feel cared for. It's also so FUN to work at a company with such a loyal following, knowing that the work we do each day gets viewed and reacted to by millions of people every week. TL;DR: I love my job and don't take the opportunity to be doing what I do lightly. And we're only getting started!

Who is Dani Ruiz? Since joining Evans Delivery Dallas, Dani Ruiz has been leading the charge to orchestrate our customers' Houston drayage needs. What’s your role at the company, and how would you explain it to a 5-year-old? In simplest terms, I help people. Depending on whom you ask, I’m pretty nosy or curious, but I like a challenge and the opportunity to "figure things out." Most of all, I enjoy helping people. Officially, I work on the Houston side of our drayage business and handle every aspect of our process. Who inspires you most at work and why? Our owner, Creighton Kent, inspires me the most at work; he runs circles around everyone. He is very intelligent and analytical and has a process for everything. I recall a conversation we had over the phone while my son and I were experimenting with root beer floats. Mr. Kent described his process of making the perfect root beer float. If you like floats, I suggest giving Mr. Kent a call. Best of all, Mr. Kent is very patient and loyal and enjoys helping people succeed. I admire those traits. What’s the most exciting project you have worked on recently, and what made it memorable for you? The most recent project that I enjoyed working on was developing a service-failure tracking system to analyze our biggest obstacles and develop a process to manage them. I had never done that before, but as I mentioned, I like to figure things out. Describe your ideal weekend activity to recharge. I consider myself pretty boring, but spending time with my wife and son helps me recharge. If possible, I like to work out, and if I can get in an extra hour of sleep, I consider that a great weekend. What is one unexpected talent or hidden skill you possess? I’m not a great cook, and I was grateful for sandwiches and TV dinners back in my single days, but my wife and son love it when I cook beef ribs at home. I am not a pro by any means, but I have figured out some little things that make a huge difference.

Perhaps there is a different way to #interview people to determine if they are a fit for your organization. #seniorliving is a people-first, service industry. You can teach and model many of the skills necessary to provide the best customer experience, but changing people and their #softskills are a whole other animal. The next interview I do will be at a restaurant. For fun, I may tell the server to purposely mess up their order just to see how they react! Mistakes happen everyday in the workplace, but people people have total control over their reactions. https://lnkd.in/ejR2ETJ3
