Foodliner opens new terminal

At the beginning of October, Foodliner opened a new terminal location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The site 5020 18th Avenue SW houses drivers, a manager, and a full-service shop. Plans call for the terminal to be fully operational by the end of the year. 

The decision to add the Cedar Rapids location is a strategic move, according to Mike O’Connor, Foodliner’s vice president of operations. 

“The addition of the Cedar Rapids terminal allows for our team to better serve our drivers and customers in this market while adding additional business opportunities,” O’Connor said. 

The Cedar Rapids market was previously served out of the company’s Eddyville, Iowa terminal. The Eddyville location remains fully operational, providing service to customers and stakeholders in Southeast Iowa. 

The opening of the Cedar Rapids site brings Foodliner full circle, as the company previously operated a terminal in the community.
