This is a political gimmick than reality....this is an insignificant and irrelevant position. We all know the British have realised the implications of their history, and the significance of the global south. France has suffered some brunt and damage... German's are playing catch up. Britain is playing detrimentally smart.... How about Belgium!? The world has been watching, listening and taking note on Sunak's short stint as prime minister. I think US did much better with Obama than UK with the outgone PM. But I know some people/countries will fall for the trick. God have mercy to the king🤨😏.

Mr Lammy. Make sure you respect the position bestowed upon you. Regardless of race, you are representing ALL the people of this great nation so do not let us down. Your skin colour is irrelevant. But what is relevant is how you present the UK 🇬🇧 to the rest of the world and the alliances we’ve worked tirelessly to build over centuries….. we are watching 👀

Worth remembering that way back in December 1933 Clement Attlee 'let the cat out of the bag' about the true intentions of the British Labour Party: "We ought to envisage the creation of an international police force as a deliberate attempt to build up a world State" - Hansard, 13th December 1933. Anthony Eden, at the time the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, astutely understood the auspices under which such a hegemony would inevitably operate - "the bomb". He reflected: "I do not know that I should feel the happier in smithereens as the result of an international rather than as the result of a national bomb". Is it timely to reflect on the attitude of Labour to "the bomb" during the Blair administration? If our memories are failing we could always ask someone from Iraq? Should we also worry that Labour will likely move Britain much closer to the European Union? If so might might we reflect on Enoch Powell's speech to the West Ham North & South Conservative Association in 1971 & understand why such symbiosis makes another major war in Europe more, not less likely? Of course, the 'intellectual left' will sneer but the true conservative will reflect portentously - fearing that the odds on war just shortened.

Mr Lammy has no monopoly. Read the Doomsday Book completed in 1086, which clearly shows 10% of British households were enslaved (servi) by the Normans. We must move forwards.

You have no democratic authority to reset BREXIT is that your intention?

What could possibly go wrong 😑

I’m so proud of Foreign Secretary David Lammy who has been steadfast in his commitment to service to his constituency and his recognition of his heritage as a descendant of Guyana.🇬🇾 I look forward to seeing him perform on the world stage while he implements his program to reconnect Britain to Europe and engage in progressive initiatives to support the Global South.

Not holding my breath. He was an awful Education Minister. Nice words, let’s see the action.
