🏷️ KC EMC Certification: Self-Conformity Verification Marking Guidelines For equipment that has undergone Self-Conformity Verification, the marking requirements differ slightly. The conformity assessment marking, including the KC mark, model number, and management number, must be affixed to the product or its packaging. Additionally, the Self-Conformity Verification marking must be included in the product manual. Remember, the KC EMC certification marking must be in place before domestically manufactured products are released and before imported products pass through customs clearance. 📌 You can check the example of the KC EMC label at the link below. https://lnkd.in/g5wNwmiJ #GCA #GCAKOREA #SouthKoreaTypeapproval #KoreaCertification #KC #KCcertification #KCMark #KCMarking #EMC #EMCTesting #EMCCertification #EMCRequirements #SelfConformity #DoC

🚀 Vetting Suppliers in Aerospace & Defense: Going Beyond the Certifications ✈️ In my last post, we talked about how to quickly qualify a supplier in the Aerospace & Defense industry by looking at certifications like AS9120, AS6081, and ISO/IEC 17025. While these certifications are essential, they’re just the beginning when it comes to finding a truly reliable supplier for your electronic components and semiconductors. So what comes next after you’ve done that initial vetting? Here are a few additional steps you can take to dig deeper and ensure your supplier isn’t just putting on a good show: 1️⃣ Supplier’s Quality History: Ask for their history of non-conformances and how they’ve been addressed. A supplier who is upfront about past issues—and can show you a clear corrective action plan—indicates a mature quality system. 2️⃣ Counterfeit Detection Programs: With obsolescence being such a major challenge, make sure your supplier has robust counterfeit prevention measures in place. This goes beyond AS6081. Look for their documented processes for screening, testing, and inspecting components. 3️⃣ Supply Chain Transparency: Ask about their relationships with OEMs and authorized distributors, how do they vet excess inventory from the OEM/EMS market, what is their supplier qualification process and how do they maintain and update when supplyin product from the open market. A reliable supplier would not feel they need to hide anything. 4️⃣ Testing Capabilities: A supplier with access to ISO/IEC 17025 certified testing facilities can be a game-changer, especially when dealing with hard-to-find or obsolete parts. These facilities ensure that your components meet specifications through comprehensive testing, reducing the risk of receiving faulty parts. 5️⃣ Evaluate Their Technology Investments: How is the supplier leveraging technology to improve their operations? Whether it’s real-time inventory tracking, automated quality controls, or advanced testing equipment, a supplier that continuously invests in technology will often offer a more reliable supply chain. Remember, certifications are the foundation, but trust is built through transparency, consistency, and demonstrated quality over time. The more questions you ask upfront, the less you’ll have to worry down the road. Stay vigilant—quality suppliers aren’t just compliant on paper, they live it in every part of their process. #SupplyChainManagement #AerospaceDefense #QualitySuppliers #CounterfeitPrevention #ElectronicComponents #ObsolescenceManagement #ISO17025 #AS9120 #AS6081

📍 What is KC certification in Korea? KC stands for "Korea Certification" and is a mandatory certification system established by the Korean government to ensure that products manufactured in Korea or imported from abroad comply with domestic safety and technical standards so that only certified products can be distributed and sold. It plays an important role in ensuring the safety and performance of products in Korea, protecting users and the environment. For companies looking to enter the Korean market, KC certification is a prerequisite for customs clearance and product sales. With KC certification, companies can lower the barriers to entry, gain a competitive edge, and successfully enter the Korean market. KC certification is broadly categorized into electromagnetic certification and safety certification. Since these fall under different government ministries, companies need to undergo separate certification processes for each. ✔ KC EMC: https://lnkd.in/gKHvC9J5 ✔ KC Safety: https://lnkd.in/gBJ-DBde #GCA #GCAKOREA #typeapproval #ProductTesting #KoreaCertification #KC #KCMark #KCcertification #EMC #RF #Safety #electronicproducts
