Friday Fun: The DEI Detective🕵️♀️ Happy Friday, everyone! Let's kick off the weekend with a fun story about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Once upon a time in the bustling city of Diversityville, there was a legendary detective named Detective Inclusion. One bright and sunny day, she got a frantic call from Mr. Equitas, the CEO of Equitas Enterprises. Despite their best efforts, their DEI strategies just weren’t cutting it, and the workplace was in disarray. Detective Inclusion quickly gathered her team: Agent Equity, the champion of fairness, and Agent Diversity, who brought a fresh perspective to every case. They arrived at Equitas Enterprises and immediately spotted the problems. Employees were cliqued up in groups and not collaborating with others. The company had great DEI policies, but they weren’t being enforced consistently. And the leadership team didn’t reflect the diversity of the workforce. Rolling up their sleeves, Detective Inclusion and her team sprang into action. They organized team-building activities to mix things up and get people working together. They made sure the DEI policies were enforced fairly across the board. And they worked on developing a more inclusive leadership pipeline. The transformation was magical. Teams collaborated better, employees felt valued and heard, and the leadership became more diverse and inclusive. Equitas Enterprises not only improved its DEI outcomes but also saw a boost in overall performance and employee satisfaction. And so, the DEI Detective Agency saved the day yet again, proving that a little teamwork, fairness, and inclusive leadership can go a long way. Let’s all take a page from Detective Inclusion’s book and continue to champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplaces. Have a fantastic weekend! 🌟 #FridayFun #DEI #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #WorkplaceCulture #BlackProfessionalsIreland

This week we celebrated the 40th anniversary of The Gallagher Way. I was asked to share what tenet I connect with most and showcase how TA Champions The Gallagher Way – here is the tenet I chose and a bit about why: Which of the Gallagher Way Tenets do you resonate with most? #6 Teamwork. It’s so important to understand that no one is successful without everyone on the team. Such an important tenet, because it emphasizes the value of collaboration and unity in achieving common goals. The Gallagher Way has taught me the importance of valuing and respecting the contributions of every team member, and the power of working together towards a shared vision. It's truly inspiring to see how this tenet has shaped the culture of our organization and contributed to our success. Can you share a specific example or story from your experience that demonstrates how you embody or align with the tenet you selected? When I first started here, there was only 1 other person in the department. Over time, we have built out a Best-in-Class team, but it took a common purpose, collaboration, teamwork, and a drive to succeed. We all embody the shared value of teamwork by working together to achieve our goals, supporting each other through challenges, and celebrating our successes as a team. Our collaboration and common purpose have allowed us to build a strong, cohesive team that consistently delivers exceptional results. This dedication to working together and supporting each other is a true reflection of the Gallagher Way and has been instrumental in our department's success. #LifeAtGallagher #GallagherWay40thAnniversary #TAChampionsTheGallagherWay

Head of Social @JKMovingServices ⚡️ I offer tips on creating CURRENT digital content that works for your brand
When was the last time your employer thanked you for your hard work? Davy Shanko and I were asked to join JK Moving Services' & CapRelo's executive team meeting today. When we arrived Chuck Kuhn let us know that they simply wanted to thank us for the difference our work is making for the organization. Wow. Can we talk about how good that feels and how important it is? When employees are recognized it: ✨ Boosts morale. (I'm flying high this morning.) ✨ Creates an environment where employees feel valued and respected. (Is there anything more important?) ✨ Increases productivity! (I'm ready to create more amazing content!) ✨ Promotes employee loyalty. (Feeling appreciated makes you want to stay.) ✨ Encourages innovation. (When employees feel valued, they're more likely to share ideas and contribute creatively.) Beth McNamara thank you so much for your guidance over the past year and your trust in my abilities. Bonus: I'm still learning new things everyday thanks to you. And to all the employers who take the time to say "thank you" to their teams: your acknowledgment means the world to us! Barry Morris, David Cox, Andrea Bunch, Paul McCullough and thanks for taking the photo Jeff Parker #Leadership #EmployeeAppreciation #JKMoving

Helping SMEs with Strategy, Branding and Sales via Mentoring and Consultancy delivered by Richer Solutions
It’s the end of the month, and I’m making a difficult decision. Who should I give the Employee of the Month award to this time? After careful consideration, it will have to be me. I feel I’ve made a significant contribution to the business and have demonstrated my commitment to company values. I believe everyone should celebrate their successes, but if you’re a company of one, it’s even more important to be able to pat yourself on the back. Read my article about making yourself Employee of the Month, spotting invisible rules, and developing company culture when you work alone. https://lnkd.in/eKbiPhzA Wherever you work, who are you making Employee of the Month for September? #employeerecognition #teamappreciation #celebratewins #companyculture #kingofpinpoint #richersolutions

These differences are captured in the 30 “Fundamentals” that are the foundation for our unique culture. We call it, The Star Way. #1 on our list is "Be a fanatic about safety". #ABCD of Management: #Resistance to #Change B.N. DasturThe twenty-first century is dynamic stability. If anything is stable, it is dynamism, change, change. I have been coming and going to America since 2000. Kodak, Border Toys-R-Us went bankrupt before my eyes. Albertsons, Sears, J.C. Giant companies like Pany, Macy's lost their luster. Jet Airways and Kingfisher went out of business in our country. There is no shortage of reasons, but the main reason was resistance to change. There has been no shortage of seminars on 'Resistance to Change' around the world. The cemeteries of https://lnkd.in/eUj5JYB4 #Management

Recognition as a practice of gratitude for all aka inclusion and an attribute to camaraderie, not for some aka an office politic or a nice-to-have tool. Looking at the Ston Walls, one of the best-preserved medieval fortifications in the world, makes me reflect on gratitude: See and recognise the good things by everyone (Nhìn thấy những điều mọi người làm đúng) and recognition as a tool. Everytime gratitude for all at work comes to context, I recall the happy moments of reading about Appreciation week at Coats in their 2023 culture audit. Added with the stories from Quyen Le shared in the Culture Code series and personal reflections of a Coats HRBP lady in our chats, I know why the annual one week ritual of Appreciation can be successfully implemented throughout those years: Good deeds by employees are not taken for granted both by Coats as a great place to work and Coats employees who sincerely feel grateful to the extra miles by the co-workers so that they can be successful at work.
