In 2018, we started producing Community Profiles for all 171 school districts in Kentucky. The objective was, and still is, to get key data into the hands of community members as a way to encourage them to be part of the solution to improving education outcomes. With data, communities could be part of designing solutions to the unique needs of families and students locally.
This week we released the 4th edition - now called Groundswell Community Profiles. They include data along the "path to a larger life", coupled with trend data and a snapshot of demographic differences, and socioeconomic information to contextualize the environment. It's a brief 4-page snapshot.
The Groundswell Community Profiles are meant to be used as a starting point to spur larger conversations and action. When we bring communities to the table, in hyper-local settings, with shared aspirations, innovative solutions will be found. We look forward to amplifying, elevating, and networking those innovations all across Kentucky - building a #GroundswellKY one community at a time.
