AFBP Intern @Amazon | Lean Six Sigma Green Belt | Marketing @ SIBM Pune'25 | Ex Consultant at Capgemini | IIIT Jabalpur
A month at Amazon went in a jiffy. Although it's always #Day1atAmazon, each day has been a wonderful learning experience. A few points to sum up the first month: 1. The business is immense and all that you need is data to understand it. Excel is damn important for any program manager. 2. You can't just sit in the office and wish to learn the challenges that the company faces, stepping out to have the on ground experience becomes the key to bringing out the best possible solutions on the table. 3. No doubt is small or a bad one. Stepping up and asking them creates a difference between the successful delivery of the project and a failed one. 4. Networking is sacrosanct during the internship. You get to learn as many things talking to as many people as you can. With just 3 weeks remaining for the internship, it will all be learning the values and putting in the work for that final presentation.

⭐As the year 2023 comes to an end, it seems important to reflect on key moments of this year that contributed to my growth and sparked new projects in me. 💼An experience that had a significant impact on my personal development was my 6-month internship as a Product Manager Intern at Amazon in Munich. During this time, I not only had the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, but also to meet inspiring people with diverse backgrounds and ambitious goals. 🗓I particularly enjoyed the Day 1 philosophy, which encourages creativity, adaptability and a relentless pursuit of excellence, creating an inspiring atmosphere to work, learn and make every day a stimulating experience. This made me realize important aspects that will help students get the most out of their internship and help them grow and explore new horizons: 1) Be curious. When interning in a company, you should try to learn as much as possible using the resources available to you: sign up for training, sign up for certifications, learn about the tools available in the company, ask your colleagues for advice, read the available documents… 2) Actively seek feedback. Seeking feedback will help you identify key growth opportunities as you evolve in your internship position and will also demonstrate your willingness to strive to be the best version of yourself. 3) Set clear goals for your internship. Without clear goals, you won't be able to track your successes. Setting clear goals and reflecting on them will not only keep you motivated but will also play a key role in your quest for advancement. 4) Build strong professional relationships. By developing a strong network through coffee chats, networking events, and lunch dates, you will gain a better understanding of the bigger picture and feel much more integrated into the company. In addition, meeting other interns or recent graduates will also inspire you for future academic or professional opportunities to further develop yourself. 🔮By doing so, you're will not only be investing in your current role but also paving the way for future success. ✨I wish you a 2024 filled with success, joy, and the fulfillment of all your wishes! PS: Thank you Francesca Fabro & Githa Devi for making this a unique experience ! #Amazon #Amazonian #Amazonstudentprogram #internshipexperience

Time flies when you're learning and growing! 💡 ✈ I've already approached the midpoint of my operations internship at Amazon NCL1, and it feels like just yesterday I was deciding on universities, programs, and career paths after graduation. Now, as I'm stepping into the second half of this amazing internship and need to start thinking about my career after, I find myself pondering my future once again. But then, I realise the real value is in the present. Instead of constantly worrying about what's next, I'm focused on embracing every opportunity this internship offers. I'm soaking up knowledge from the incredible team and enjoying the journey, growing with each new experience. To my fellow young professionals: let's make the most of where we are right now. The future will come soon enough, so let's be sure to make the most of the present! ☀ #AmazonInternship #LearningAndDevelopment #CareerJourney #CareerGrowth #InternshipExperience #YoungProfessionals

Climbing New Heights: My First Internship Adventure Just like scaling a mountain, my first internship was all about taking on challenges and discovering new heights. With a recommendation from my college professor, Dr Uday Trivedi, I found myself at Triyaza healthcare, ready to embark on a journey into the world of e-commerce. This is post 9 of my one year after failing 12th... journey Much like navigating a steep trail, managing Triaza’s Amazon account came with its own set of challenges creating ads, tracking orders, and understanding the twists and turns of Amazon Central. Each task was a new peak to conquer, pushing me to learn and grow in ways I hadn't ex This experience wasn’t just a job; it was an adventure into the unknown, where every step taught me something new. Just like reaching the summit of a mountain, the view from the top of seeing the results of my work was incredibly rewarding. I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited to continue my climb, ready for whatever challenges lie ahead. #Internship #Adventure #CareerGrowth #Ecommerce #AmazonCentral #LearningExperience #Grateful #NewHeights

More stories to celebrate! Ed Fetters worked at Amazon recently as an Operations Intern. Briefly describe your major project(s) or tasks over the summer: My main project here at Amazon is to reduce the building's inactive time, increasing efficiency in the building. I found that wasted inactive time costs the building over $1 million per year. I also do some work supervising operations. What is the most important thing you learned from your internship? My site lead nailed this into me after sending a less-than-ideal building announcement I proposed to him. If you don't have people and process, you're going to fail. We focus a lot on process, but the people matter too. You can get compliance wearing the vest, but you won't be able to build a strong culture. What do you think was the most critical factor(s) in preparing you to succeed at your internship? Experience in warehouses. I have worked for many managers in this kind of environment over the years, and I've seen good and bad managers. Those experiences have helped influence how I talk to my associates, manage the floor, etc. My goal has always been to be as straight-forward and open as possible with my associates. At the end of the day, I'm just a fool in a red-striped vest without my associates. #StudentSuccess #fishercollege #careermanagement #osu #fishercollegeofbusiness #ohiostate #career

Dear LinkedIn Community, I recently concluded my internship as an Operations Intern at Amazon's BRE4 Fulfilment Centre in Achim. Reflecting on this invaluable experience, I want to share some key takeaways and express my heartfelt thanks to the BRE4 team, especially my mentor Maurice P. for their guidance and support. This journey helped me grow both professionally and personally. Here are five major lessons I learned during my internship: 1️⃣ Problem Solving and Time Management ⏳ Operations challenges often require asking two critical questions: "Why" (to understand the root cause) and "How" (to determine actionable steps). Balancing time to explore these questions taught me that it’s essential to manage depth and scope in problem-solving. While I identified effective solutions, time constraints prevented full evaluation, a lesson in prioritizing tasks and timelines. 2️⃣ Stakeholders Management 🤝 Successfully solving operational issues involves managing relationships with multiple stakeholders. I learned that understanding their processes and involving them in discussions helped minimize disruptions to their work while implementing solutions. Gaining buy-in at all levels—both from managers and frontline workers—was key. Additionally, aligning training and safety protocols early helped ensure smooth implementation. 3️⃣ Effective Communication 🎯 In Operations, time is a limited resource. While building meaningful internal connections is important, I also needed to communicate efficiently. Learning to summarize ideas and deliver information concisely helped streamline communication, freeing up time to focus on other tasks and challenges. 4️⃣ Data-based Decision 📊 Problem-solving in Operations involves making a series of decisions, each rooted in meaningful data. Another key lesson I learned was to identify and source the right datasets. The operations server hosts a vast arrays of performance metrics, asking the correct questions helped me navigate this data and make more impactful decisions. 5️⃣ Continuous Improvements 📈 The final lesson of the internship was the importance of striving for continuous improvement. Amazon’s core value as an e-commerce platform is its customer satisfaction. My project contributed to the ongoing efforts to optimize the supply chain performance. By constantly finding ways to increase the delivery time’s accuracy and minimize deviations, we were able to enhance value provided to our customer. In conclusion, the internship allowed me to build a strong foundation in operations management, while allowing me to polish my critical thinking and cooperation skill. I am excited to apply these learning in future venture.

Senior at Morningside University(May 2025 Graduation) | Business & Agriculture Honors Student | Intern at Lashley Land, Amazon, Union Pacific Railroad, Morningside University | Seeking Post-Grad Opportunities
As I wrap up my summer internship as an Area Manager at Amazon's ORF2, I want to reflect on the experiences and lessons I've gained. A huge thank you to my manager,Ksenia, for welcoming me into the Quality team and empowering me to "Learn and Be Curious", "Dive Deep" and take “Ownership,” some of Amazon's core leadership principles. Over the past 10 weeks, I focused on reducing kickouts and inventory errors, creating and implementing a process that achieved a 67% reduction. One key takeaway was embracing the mindset that "Every day is Day 1." This taught me the importance of focusing on what is within my control- attitude, reactions, and next steps- in both management and life. Additionally, I embraced the idea that "I don’t know what I don’t know." This mindset encouraged me to stay curious, seek to understand, and always look at the bigger picture. I'm grateful to everyone I met this summer who helped me understand the broader impact of my work and provided valuable mentorship and advice as I grow in my professional journey. #ORF2 #AmazonIntern #SummerIntern Amazon
